It was a nice stay at the hotel except from the heat in the hotel room. Because of the weather condtion with a temperatur of 35 C the aircondtion did not have the capacity to cool down the room

Beautiful, not all rooms have a/c

Great location. Historic beautiful building. When traveling to Europe in the summer, we always filter to find hotels with A/C which is how we picked this one. Little did we know that only SOME of the rooms have a/c, so we had to move out and into a smaller room. The new room had a couch at the foot of the bed that had a lip that protruded onto where my feet would lay (I’m a 5’ 10” woman). If I pushed the couch out, it was in the way of walking, if I left it, I couldn’t stretch out. I know, first world problems… but I would’ve liked to have known about the a/c before booking. Wouldn’t stay again without a guarantee of a/c in the summer.

The (mainly) young staff is very welcoming, and very helpful, correcting anything that might be wrong in room. Room was excellent. One caveat…no telephones in the rooms. The assumption apparently is that one can call the front desk from one’s own mobile. However, if one comes from abroad and is on a mobile plan limiting calls…

Very nice hotel in Bamberg near all the breweries and restaurants. It’s a bit outdated but immaculately clean. Not a speck of dust was seen. Highly recommend and will be here for my next stay.

Nice hotel, watch out for the hidden charges

We arrived at the hotel and were told to pay an extra €25 as the booking was only for one person. I didn’t think to book for two adults as we didn’t opt for breakfast and the reservation was for a king double room. Despite the 20% increase imposed on us on check-in, the hotel didn’t “upgrade” the room to accommodate two adults. In fact, the room was only prepared for one person. One towel, one soap.. they didn’t even have pillows for two people despite it being a king double room reservation. The lady at reception was neither helpful nor friendly. The hotel itself was clean, the room was very nice for the price and we were well located for access to the city, however, the experience was marred by the €25 fee and the attitude of the staff on reception.

The hotel is beautiful! The staff are very welcoming and nice! Breakfast was included and it was very good. The Christmas market was 8-10 min walk and so was old town. The DM store was around the corner and so was the marketplace. Would stay here again, i did hear loud music nd people talking at 1 am but it wasnt too bad.
