Pleasant stay at Tor Na Coille. Front of house were friendly, bed comfortable, good amount ot tea/coffee in the room and decent shower. Tiny TV a little pointless and breakfast times too restrictive to utilise.

Nice staff particularly at breakfast time. Rooms fine, a bit dated and creaky. Shower was freezing for a good 5 minutes and after that was lukewarm. Lovely location and plenty of parking

The room was very clean, bed very comfortable. We arrived late due to the snow delaying us with blocked roads, and detours. The restaurant had closed, but they opened it up for us. The fish and chips were great. Great full Scottish breakfast set us up for the day. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again if up that way. The staff are very friendly and could not do enough to help.

Breakfast was cooked to perfection, Rachel, breakfast front of house was friendly, very efficient, nothing was too much trouble. She also offered at request information about local sites of interest during our stay. Her memory is second to none, remembered our breakfast choice and how we liked it. Other staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel itself beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The room and bed very comfortable, home from home. Cannot recommend enough.

Room was amazing, staff super friendly - I arrived later than expected due to weather conditions but the chef was willing to serve up a fantastic plate of fish and chips. I travel a lot for work and this was a great place to stay.

Hotel was set in nice woodland grounds, near the centre of Banchory. Greeted warmly by the receptionist. The hotel itself is a Victorian aged house and, in places, it does show. Room was comfortable enough, if a bit on the warm side, even with the window open. Restaurant menu was a bit over the top. Service was OK, was never really busy. There was a wedding function on the 1st night of my stay which, on the 2nd floor, I didn't hear anything.

Great stay

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location, nestled in its own tree filled garden, was relaxing and the hotel itself still retained the charm of the family home it was. We ate in the restaurant: the food was excellent, plenty of choice for two vegetarians like us, and the staff were very helpful. We also tried some cocktails which were also excellent. Our stay was relaxing, enjoyable and good value for money.

Hotel was nice, and staff very helpful but our room was far too hot. Bar service was slow on the first evening due to lack of staff. Food in the restaurant was excellent.

Friendly, helpful staff. Room upgrade freely given when the first room was unsuitable due to lack of ventilation on sunny day. Breakfast was mostly good but could be a little disorganised (juice and milk running out, tables not fully laid etc.) and buffet was rather limited in range. However good choice of cooked items, well-presented.

Amazing hotel and staff

The room we had was big, plenty storage and seating. The bathroom was nice with a large bath. The complimentary jar of sweets/choc was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and approachable. Bar staff very knowledgeable about the drinks on offer. Food was really good. Hotel had a very relaxed feeling about it, nice lounge area to air and enjoy drinks.

Stayed here for a business trip. Fantastic hotel, it is absolutely beautiful and the area is just gorgeous. I came in late and the staff were so welcoming and kind and let me get up to bed and settle up the next morning. I had the Eggs Benedict which was delicious and again all the staff were lovely. The only reason for the 4*on facilities is the room I was in was slightly dated but the new owners are in the middle of renovations. However the room was clean and the bed was super comfy. All in all great stay and would 10/10 recommend :)
