Very professional staff on the restaurant side and the food was amazing .The resort have a huge potentiel of succes because its very luxury and well decorated. But unfortunately They are making false advertising about their Spa facilities.During our stay in Decembre 2019 it was no existing Sauna,no Spa service in our arrival and no Yoga activities as it was suppose to,but a lot of apologies. The management offre the second day of our stay complementary massage but it was a bad experience because of the incompetent external therapistes that has been hired for a day.
We thing that once the construction finish its possible that place become very attractif for the people looking for the wellness treatment but for us it was a bad experience because of that false advertising.
Property is not in âEllaâ as advertised. Well, it is in Ella province but it is an hour from said town. The property is actually 30 min from the closest town - so youâre pretty much beholden to the on premise restaurant, which is nose bleed expensive. They should really make it all inclusive given how remote it is.
I thought we were going to a wellness resort with yoga classes and activities. This would have been in line with how it was priced and similar experiences I have been on. While there were some good facilities - we were completely left to our own devices. No instructions or suggestions were offered. The staff were nice though.
We cut our trip a day short because of the above and moved on to Yala.
To add to the poor experience, we were told that we could get a refund for leaving a day early (provided Expedia approved). I got in touch with Expedia (and they approved), but the head office of the hotel (in Colombo apparently) ultimately declined. I had suspected they may do this - they are technically entitled to and I was asking as a gesture of goodwill - and was initially assured I would be shown it. However of course the day after head office made excuses. Wouldnât have minded so much if I hadnât wasted hours and hours chasing refund - just be upfront with people.
Waste of money, bad location.
I adored my stay here.. I felt cared for, safe and pampered. They have a no alcohol policy/ but provide delicious tea.. so though Iâm in Bali right now, I want to stick to the healthy few days I had at Anasa. The spa was magnificent.. Nathan provided hands down the best massage Iâve ever had in my life. Definitely recommend staying here! I know I will again sometime soon
Can't say enough good things about this resort! The staff is truly magnificent, the peace and solitude is wonderful, and the views, food, and activites will keep you impressed day after day. It is a bit far from everything, so if you go, plan on spending most of your time there (we didn't leave for 3 days and had plenty to keep us occupied). They do have tours they can arrange that will take you to hikes, tea plantatikns, etc., but it will be a full day outting.
But seriously, the best part is the staff. They are so friendly and eager to help. It was sad to leave them at the end of our stay. Well worth the long drive to get there!!
Property is not complete - this is false advertising by not only the hotel but also Expedia. There was no yoga or instructor, no fitness centre, pool wasnât working, no massages available, all wellness activities were not available. This is not a well easy property
The best property I have ever stayed in, the chalets are amazing, the views are straight out of a movie. It was so quiet and peace full, the food was michelin star quality. The staff go out of their way to accommodate your every needs. There really nothing i can say about this resort that would do it justice except that my wife had tears in her eyes when we checked out. We will definitely be back but next time for a week.
Me and my wife spent three nights of our Sri Lanka honeymoon at Anasa and it was the highlight of our trip. I can very highly recommend a stay.
The chalets/rooms and the resort itself is beautiful and has great facilities and surroundings. The 10 stand-alone chalets are elegant and well-positioned for seclusion.
The food was really outstanding, best of our trip. We had a set menu for two nights, and a la carte the last night, all very good.
What sticks out the most is the fantastic service, really five stars. Very personal, friendly and attentive, doing everything extra, but never too much, adapting to you preferences as a guest. This goes for everyone from management to the room service.
Please note that the entire resort is alcohol-free. We were informed before arriving. This was not a problem for me although I usually have some wine for dinner.
There is still some construction on-going at this new resort, but this did not bother us. Yoga studio and gym to be completed in the near future.
We really had a wonderful time at Anasa, I can recommend also for a family trip as the Chalets are very suitable for that.
