Lots of black mold, chipped paint and rust in bathroom. The staff is nice but the bathroom area was disgusting with lots of black mold around the tub and paint pealing off the walls. Kind of disgusting. The bathroom appliances should have been replaced about forty years ago.

Had such a wonderful time at Sunset Oceanfront. The staff was super friendly. Our room had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed being able to look out our window and see the beautiful ocean. We also enjoyed walking on the beach. I did not expect breakfast and was very pleasantly surprised. It was great. Would stay again.

It's ok but wasn't worth the cost.

Here are the pros. We really liked the softness of the beds. We definitely had an ocean view. Although we really thought, based on the pictures we looked at, that we would be closer to the ocean. Cons: the kitchenette was dirty. Crumbs on the stove. paper towel roll had food on it. We learned with this trip that we are not ok with pet friendly places. The very first thing we saw when walking into the room was stains in the carpet from pets. It then just makes the whole room feel dirty because you just really don't know how well it was cleaned.

This was a charming place with a lot of neat features. When we booked we knew our room was small, but the stunning views made it feel much larger. The staff were lovely and helpful and the hot tub and pool were nice after evening temps started to drop. I definitely hope to stay here again someday.

View is an A+. Beautiful. Room F. No AC. Same room as was decorated 50 years ago. Beds F. Blankets F. Checking in was fine. Young attendant and older attendant were just not too friendly. But the view makes up for everything else.

We enjoyed our stay here so much! We were literally almost on the beach! It was gorgeous! We fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean, it was wonderful. It was a little weird to have to walk over to the main building for the pool and breakfast, but it was okay. The parking was a little tight where we were. And we wished the access to the beach was closer. But all in all we'd definitely stay here again. Staff was very nice!

nice place but beware of building assigned

Great location but the room we were given was not in the Hotel.com pictures. There is another section to the hotel not noted. Our room had no a/c and no windows, but a small vent in the room and another in the bathroom. It had a sliding glass door for the entry with no screen or security so you couldn't leave it open at night. This made the room stuffy. However, they did provide a small fan and that helped some. It was clean and we loved the neighborhood but a little too pricey considering the old room.

Think carefully

This property looks nice from the outside but the rooms are dated and tatty. Rugs were stained, screen openings were dirty and had insect casings. The stool covers were very stained. The bathroom was straight out of the 1970's. Fixtures were worn so they don't look clean. Towels were fresh smelling. View was nice when the fog cleared a bit but that's Oregon. The restaurant recommended by the front desk staff, which was next door, was excellent! Really, the only good thing about the stay. Oh and the sand circles. Great fun! Very disappointed...

Great views of ocean & beach. Family owned and operated. They didn't demand a credit card upon check to charge unexpected fees for parking unlike the bigger chain hotels like Hyatt does. No beach access due to King tides was kinda a bummer but we understood.
