The room was clean and comfortable, The check in counter staff was polite and courteous but their English skills were a little lacking. They were not very knowledgeable about transit services in the city as they tried to help but the information they provided was not accurate. Breakfast buffet was satisfactory and had a few items that changed daily. The tour desk operator was very helpful and provided services that were reasonably priced and slightly exceeded our expectations.

The staff were lovely, warm, attentive, accommodating and professional - they’re the reaso this rating is 4 stars, rather than a more deserved 3. Stayed in a deluxe room with city view; the price point for the room dropped a couple of days before I arrived, so I was able to rebook the lower price as I hadn’t paid yet. The room had a bit of a musty, damp smell that, had I not known better, could be mistaken for urine. The big room had a nice layout, a great view of the city below, but the huge windows were dirty, or just old, couldn’t figure out which. Good sized bathroom, but oddly poorly lit, so you couldn’t really see what you were doing in the mirror. Stayed 4 nights and they had a problem with no hot water the whole time. You’d expect it wouldn’t matter in a humid city, but taking cold early morning showers is no fun. The breakfast is a winning buffet of hot and cold dishes, vegetables, breads, cakes, soups, fruits and an omelet station, available generously from 6-11am, allowing for late lie-ins. There is an adequate fitness center with treadmills, weights, a few machines and 1 bench that has to be coached to work. They have a couple of washers and dryers by the nice pool, that are very confusing to use and take forever, so I used the futuristic “Daddy Laundry”, 15 walk away, where the machines do everything in 45 mins, no need to even buy detergent or softener! Loved the location; once I figured my way around the issues, I was ok. 4 star hotel? Yes if updated.

The front desk staff could have been more helpful. The housekeeper was very nice and kind, truly a pleasant person. The area is a bit noisy, so it may not be ideal for those looking for a quiet stay.
