HawksNest View, is a gem of a find in the mountains with its almost unheard of no-stairs entry. It's an authentic log cabin with ~2400 square feet of unique spaces to spread out. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and 5th sleeping space to sleep a total of 11 comfortably. It is a 3 story, 4 deck spaces home constructed of air dried Hemlock from Western NC. This beautifully crafted cabin blends rustic charm with modern comfort and is thoughtfully designed to accommodate small or large groups with ample seating across a variety of spaces. It is centrally located in 7Devils which is right smack dab in the middle of all the top summer and winter activities. It is under 15 miles to most of the top key city attractions including Boone, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, App Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. In fact, HawksNest Snow Tubing/Ziplining is only 2.5 miles across the ridge. This central location makes our HawksNest View cabin an ideal home base for both summer and winter fun.
What makes this property truly unique is its no-stairs entry—That's a rare find in the mountains. From the level 4 car driveway, you walk effertlessly onto a spacious, covered front porch with an assortment of rocking chairs. The ease of access makes even unloading luggage and groceries a comfortable start to your mountain life getaway. Realizing guests come to the area to enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities, we've taken special care to provide a boot cleaning bench at the front door for all your post hiking/skiing needs. We are dog friendly, so we know our 4-legged friends love their nature walks too. You will find it comes in quite handy for cleaning paws too. Once you walk through the screened front door, you're greeted by a wide-open great room with vaulted beamed ceilings, a stunning 2-story stone gas fireplace, and a cozy hearth. The great room includes a 2-recliner sofa and swivel chairs gathered around the gas easy start fireplace and smart TV. The kitchen & dining common areas all connect to the great room. The modern open-concept layout provides lots of flexible seating options for gathering even larger groups.

These additional main level common areas are completely accessible without any stairs:
A fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, custom cabinets, coffee pot + Keurig, ice maker, blender, smoothie blender, wide-slot toaster, Instapot, complete tableware sets for 12, plus much more!

Easy access to the main-level deck, where you'll find polywood dining table that seats 6. Additional seating inside a glass-enclosed porch to enjoy crystal clear views & protection from the elements. It's also where everyone will soon be found swinging in their favorite egg chair. Other extras
a cozy propane tank fire table, exterior decorative lighting, and a gas grill. All make for perfect days and nights gathering & relaxing outdoors.

The “Mountaintop Master” Suite, also on the main floor! It has a King Bed, smart TV, ceiling fan, walk-in closet, and an extra-spacious bathroom. The abundant shelving is perfect for those who have lots to spread out and if not, the cleaning crew does supply some starter size supplies for the more minimalists. The master bath features a double vanity, seated makeup area, sliding-door shower. The exposed beams give authentic mountain charm. For added convenience this bath connects to the hallway for other main floor bathroom access.
Upstairs, the Loft Game Room includes a billiards table, dartboard, spectacular vaulted beamed ceilings, bright skylights, ceiling fans, bar stools and a full wall of windows showcasing the treetops and seasonal hillside views. The separate loft bedroom, the “Blue Ridge Sky Room”, offers a Queen bed, Twin bed, smart TV, ceiling fan and even a seasonal view of Grandfather Mountain. The ensuite has a shower/tub combo, granite vanity and a floorboard heating system. The bath connects to the billiard room for convenient upstairs bathroom access.

The lower level has two more bedrooms—”Red Bear Room” the 2nd King Bed Room and “Woodland Creatures Room” Queen Bed—each with their own smart TVs, ceiling fans and space heaters. These share a spacious bathroom with a double vanity, tub/shower combo, and plenty of shelves for everyone to spread out their toiletries. This level opens onto a second outdoor covered deck with a 7-person Jacuzzi¼ hot tub, complete with waterfall and colored lights. Just inside, you'll find a wall mounted towel warmer—perfect for warming up post-soak. The towel warmer is really quite a treat. Lots of extra towel hooks have been strategically placed in the lower level bathroom to accommodate all the post hot tub towel drying needs. The laundry room is also on this level with a full size washer and dryer to fluff and dry towels or your personal items as desired.

The second game room is on this lower level too. Having 2 game rooms is helpful when accommodating different age groups of adults or children. It provides lots of opportunities for people to spread out. This “Game Zone” room includes a smart TV with Xbox and 2 controllers, a color changing fireplace space heater, ceiling fan, 9-ft Skee-Ball arcade game, board games galore, and a round table for cards, puzzles, poker, etc. At night, the sleeper sofa transforms the space into a 5th sleeping area—ideal for kids or teens. The black out curtains at the hallway & slider door close for privacy.

All of the Decks & Porches make this property a true gem. They deserve to be called rooms of their own. The 4 outdoor living spaces of this cabin really steals the show. They add so much more living space to the cabin itself. HawkNest View is truly “Indoor-Outdoor living” at its best. The wrap around decks are one of the best amenities it offers by far. The thoughtful deck furniture on every level will leave your family never wanting to go indoors. In fact, take a close look at the pictures of the main level decking. It has a unique gating system that when closed and locked it encloses the main level deck like a “fence”. It may offer some dogs a little indoor/outdoor flexibility themselves, depending on your dog's size & agility. Use your own judgment and be sure to keep a close eye. There are bear and coyote sightings regularly as well as other animals that are less dangerous but would still be tempting to chase. When you are ready to explore the grounds with family or leashed dogs, just step off the lowest level deck platform to the backyard or off the front porch to the wooded space to the left of the home. Our property borders a large area of common area greenspace. There is a lot of area to explore right in our own lush, wooded backyard. You can fully enjoy your surroundings! So go take a peaceful walk with your dog or discover one of the two stocked catch-and-release ponds in the “The Lakes” neighborhood. There's so much to do and explore when you stay at HawkNest View! Whether it's a romantic getaway, a small family vacation or a mountain escape with a large group of friends, HawksNest View offers the perfect balance of space, accessibility, and mountain magic. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

Points forts : Propreté
Property was nice. A bit dated & separated. It would have served better if the hot tub were on the main level. The outdoor enclosed space really didn't meet any of our needs and had a funky smell. Due to amount of bugs, a screened in area would be much more useful. All in all, the price was a bit steep for the offering. My family thoroughly enjoyed the pool table & how open it was to have fun while still feeling a part of what others were doing in the house.
