The location if you want to explore downtown Bar Harbor is excellent. Their outside fire pit area is nice too. The hotel is a converted old house that has its own charm.
On the con side, we were surprised at the condition of the room for the price point. Our room was @ 440 in September. The bed was uncomfortable (you could feel the springs), the sheets were relatively rough, the doors didn’t work. Bathroom door wouldn’t close, key to open room had to be worked at to open. Space was fairly tight in room. No place to plug in cell phone on or by nightstand. Had to move nightstand and unplug lamp to charge phone. Breakfast pastries left out - not great. The trim and overall state of the room seem not well maintained. Overall we chalked it up to an adventure and decided we would never go back.

Beautiful inn with a bed and breakfast feel. They have a beautifully landscaped property. The front lawn has seating with fire pits and an outside bar. It was very pleasant in the afternoon and evening to sit out there and enjoy a drink. The property was so attractive that many people walking by stopped to take photos.
