Two bedrooms with one full and one half bath. Within feet of Frenchmen's Bay, a glorious view of Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mountain - the crown jewel of Acadia National Park.

This property is conveniently located in Hancock, between Bar Harbor (Mount Desert Island) and the Acadia National Park Schoodic Peninsula allowing for easy access to the hustle and bustle of everything Bar Harbor has to offer but offering the quiet, "off the beaten path" break that you have been looking for.

Fully equipped with all the modern conveniences yet packaged in the traditional Downeast Maine Cedar Shake, this home is positioned well off the road for the ultimate intimate get-away. Enjoy the full kitchen or take a short drive to local lobster pounds to enjoy the sweetest lobster you have ever eaten. Ample off road parking for two cars. Complete private use of the house and property with the exception of the on site detached garage. Perfect for two but easily accommodates up to three guests.

Low tide encourages walks along the water’s edge and many guests enjoy the treasure hunt for sea glass or the rare lobster buoy! This area inspires some of the most talented artists. Sea Spray boasts an eclectic sampling of these local artists.

Enjoy the flat screen TV, cable, wireless internet, Apple TV or bring your own DVD's in case you are planning to stay home. Perhaps you are looking for a long needed rest - enjoy the King Size Sleep Number bed in the Master bedroom or the new Queen bed in the guest room. Most days offer a wonderful breeze off the water but Sea Spray has air conditioning for that occasional hot and humid day. New full size Washer and Dryer are included.

Take a seat on the deck, relax on the Adirondack chairs by the water, or enjoy a nice fire in the firepit under the stars. Whichever you choose, enjoy your favorite drink as you breathe in the sea air.

Local attractions offer ample hiking, biking, kayaking, mountain climbing and more. Your hostesses are eager to share recommendations for special hikes or other local attractions.

Sharon and Carol are your hostesses. They vacationed in Maine in 2015 and fell in love with the rugged coast and the unspoiled natural beauty that still exists in this area. They loved it so much they made it their full time home and live year round in close proximity to Sea Spray. Living in the area allows them to provide the best personal guest experience instead of the all too common distant owner who has placed their rental in the hands of a management company. They strive to maintain guest privacy while being totally available when needed.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at the Sea Spray cottage. The hosts were very communicative and ensured we had all the info we needed for our stay ahead of time. When we arrived we were blown away by the view. It felt as though we were staying on top of the water. The location is quiet and tucked away from the hustle and bustle. I had planned to stay in Bar Harbor, but so glad I didn’t. We did both sides of Acadia, MDI and Schoodic and the location was in between both. It was clean as can be and well equipped with everything we needed and then some. The hosts welcomed us with fresh baked popovers and even let us check out later when our flight home was delayed by hours. We’d love to come back and bring our kids sometime.

This is an awesome property. Sharon and Carol are great hosts and this was the best VRBO setup we have ever used. It had everything we needed to enjoy our week on the Maine coast. The views were amazing and it was a great place to relax or stage for more adventures in the area. I highly recommend this house and would definitely book again when we make our way back north.

Great Time in Downeast Maine

Our stay at Sea Spray was perfect! Sharon and Carol are Outstanding Hosts, and spoil their guests the instant the front door is opened, This was My wife and I's 2nd trip to Sea Spray and our boy's first, Sharon and Carol went above and beyond to make sure our boys felt just as welcomed as we did. They loved every second of it. from the little chairs by the fire pit to the Smores kit. We look forward to our next stay here to explore the area more.

Sea Spray was absolutely wonderful! The owners have thought of everything down to the last detail to make this a perfect home for guests. The views are some of the best we saw on our trip to Maine
. absolutely incredible! You can look right out at Cadillac Mountain! It was an easy drive to Mount Desert Island, where we enjoyed Acadia National Park. Equally close is the Schoodic Peninsula. You must go see Schoodic Point. It was even more impressive than the coastlines on Mount Desert Island. The house was the perfect retreat to come back to after our explorations each day. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to this area!

Amazing place to stay

I cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay. The view, the house , the hospitality was amazing. There was a gift basket of home made popovers and jam, chocolate and marshmallows for s’mores when we arrived. The house was spotless. Sleep number beds, amazing views and tranquility. We got to meet Sharon and Carol. They were wonderful and nothing was too much Trouble. The house was equipped with everything you would ever need and the attention to detail was phenomenal. Sea Spray was a dream come true!

Me, my husband, and our friend had never been to Maine before we stayed at Sea Spray. We were looking for a relaxing and low-key retreat. It was perfect — with views to match! Right there by the ocean. We enjoyed toasting marshmallows and making s’mores at night by the fire pit. The house and property are both well-cared for. While they provide you with privacy, the homeowners are very helpful to respond to any needs that may arise during your stay. They even had homemade popovers with Maine’s famous blueberry jam waiting for us when we arrived! They were absolutely delicious. Love, love, love this place. By far the best VRBO experience that we have ever had!

Beyond Perfect

There aren’t enough good words to describe this house: amazing, beautiful, stunning, perfection, spotless
 and more. It started walking in and finding a basket of freshly made popovers, a jar of Maine blueberry jam, and a card with our names on it with a handwritten note from the host welcoming us.There is a 12-14 page binder with everything about the house such as how to operate appliances, the weekly generator test time, local grocery stores, restaurants, and any other detail you could think of.I’m former military; the dishes, pots, pans, Tupperware containers, closets and everything else is perfectly aligned as if the inspector general is coming in. Not one speck of dirt was to be found anywhere. The interior decorum is as if HGTV recorded a show there. Not a mark on the walls and the color coordination is great. The balcony has an amazing view of Cadillac mountain across the water. The sky was so dark and clear one night that the Milky Way galaxy looked like cotton balls in the sky.The host was amazing in providing extensive details about hiking in Acadia National Park as well as promptly answering my numerous questions prior to our visit.I’ve been in all 50 states and about 20 countries and due to decades of work travel (plus personal travel) I’ve stayed in hotels or VRBO type places over 2,500 nights. My wife and I have stayed in some nice places, some of them REALLY great places to stay. This house is clearly on our short list of “the best of the best.”

We had a fantastic stay at Sea Spray! Sharon and Carol were wonderful hosts, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was perfect. The house was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, making it a true home away from home. Located on Frenchman’s Bay, the views were absolutely stunning. We spent countless hours enjoying the scenery from the deck, and the sunsets were breathtaking. The location was ideal, a perfect distance from Bar Harbor and Ellsworth for eating and shopping. Sharon and Carol were incredibly responsive and provided great recommendations for dining and activities. I can’t recommend Sea Spray highly enough—this is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax and soak in the beauty of Maine. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful home away from home

This property is absolutely beautiful and the hosts are very amiable. We had most breakfasts in the well supplied kitchen after watching the sun rise from our bed and searched for sea glass on the little beach off the back porch. We didnt have a chance to use the fire pit but it was well equipped. Would definately recommend.

This was our fifth trip to Maine and the most wonderful VRBO we have ever stayed in! The view was spectacular, the house was immaculate, thoughtfully furnished with charming decor and a well-stocked kitchen. The location is ideal. We shot off in multiple directions: to Quoddy, Tinder Hearth in Brooksville, Jordan Pond, Thuya Garden (be sure to go through the Curtis house), Deer Isle and Bar Harbor. We were also in excellent proximity to fresh lobster. Morning coffee on the porch overlooking the bay was beautiful, peaceful and refreshing. Our hosts were wonderful as well. We will be savoring the memories of our stay at Sea Spray for days and years to come.

Tranquil and Beautiful

If there is a more peaceful place to vacation and get away from it all, we have not found it. However, it is a short distance to anything you wish to do in Bar Harbor, Acadia or Schoodic. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed to feel at home, including freshly baked popovers, butter and jam upon arrival -- what a treat! We can't wait to return.

Wonderful Property

This home is perfect in every way. We were so happy to be right on the water with views that were amazing. Looking forward to visiting the area again, and will definitely stay at Sea Spray.

Beautiful house on the water

Beautiful home on the water. Owners were excellent to deal with and had many nice touches including fresh popovers, butter, jam and coffee and tea. Beds were very comfy and was very quiet area. Highly recommend. You will love it
