The Inn on Mount Desert is an older property very close to downtown with ample free parking. Leave your car there and walk. The free breakfasts are amazing; two options every morning such as an omelet, bluberry pancakes or blueberry waffles, with ham, sausage, etc. Plus the usual bagels, muffins always available, coffee always available, and so on. The rooms are plain but large with ample closet space. Everything well maintained and very clean.

Second trip staying here. I was assigned 1st level which is the entrance to the Inn off the parking area. The weather was winter storm-like with much wind. The room had two beds and two windows looking over the side exit stairs.The Inn was busy with families it was school vacation. Upstairs the check in desk and kitchen and dining areas were warm and cozy. The bed was comfortable but throughout the day and evening the auto closer on the entrance door was broken and the door banged with every person coming and going. The bang included a gust of wind shaking my room door as well. Breakfast to order was included and the best!

Amazing Stay in Bar Harbor

The bed was sooo comfortable, staff very friendly and breakfast was phenomenal. Can't believe it's included! Location was great and ways to walk to downtown. I will be back!

The location is great, walkable to downtown. The Inn is quiet, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good, something for everyone. We have stayed two times and expect to be back.

Cute cozy stay

Went for a two day trip. Hiking and a cute date. Well worth the money. Walkable however, would recommend doing activities during the day.

Amazing place!

Room was comfortable and clean. Neighbors upstairs were noisy until after 0000, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. I’d recommend booking a top floor. Also don’t book by the entry door, it’s insulated but still noisy. Breakfast was BNB quality.
