We recently stayed at this boutique hotel and, while the experience was enjoyable overall, it didn’t quite meet the expectations of a five‑star property. The welcome was underwhelming, check‑in took only a few minutes, with a key handed over and directions given, but no offer to assist with luggage or guide us to the room. At a true five‑star level, that personal touch is usually part of the arrival experience. That said, the hotel itself is immaculate. Our luxury suite (Room 12) was spotless and beautifully designed, with a wonderful bath that made the stay feel indulgent. A small detail like bubble bath would have elevated the experience further. Amenities were more casual than expected: no room service and a self‑serve bar. While quirky and novel, this felt more in line with a boutique concept than a luxury five‑star standard. Overall, the stay was lovely, and I would recommend the hotel for its cleanliness, design, and charm, but with the caveat that it delivers more of a boutique four‑star experience than a true five‑star.

Excellent service throughout- Room spacious, very clean throughout , bathroom was clean and the bath was amazing, bed was comfortable, there were loads of options of teas and coffees in the room. Had a lovely stay, the steel stand alone bath was amazing! Although we didn't use it, the honesty bar was a really lovely concept and the bar area was lovely and calm. Easy and free parking and easy to enter town on public transport

This hotel cannot be faulted. The room was amazing, large with a great bathroom, spotlessly clean. Minibar was stocked with free water and soft drinks as well as a variety of snacks. There was an honesty bar downstairs too. Breakfast was great with both continental and a cooked option. Plenty of onsite parking. It’s easy to walk into Bath too. Loved staying here and hope to return.
