Superb location. Beautifully appointed, lots of light. Excellent bedding, towels, etc. Fully equipped kitchen.Paul was wonderful in communicating and very helpful. We very much appreciated his suggestions and recommendations, which made it all so easy. Cannot recommend highly enough. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Thank you!
The holiday home is in a fabulous location but the family bathroom shower and bath (ensuite to the double bedroom) leaked through the lighting into the kitchen below on our first night. When I got hold of the owner the next day, he told us this had been happening for a few weeks and not to worry, it was safe. I didn't feel it was safe to have water coming through a light fitting so we didn't use that bathroom and just had the shower room on the top floor. There is no ventilation (window or extractor) so 6 people using this was not ideal and it was too high up for my dad to climb. I had researched carefully to find a suitable property and messaged the owner several times to check my dad would be comfortable on the middle floor and not need to stay on the top floor. I understand leaks can happen but to have known about it and not told us or fixed it is unacceptable. The seperate WC radiator also had a leak which was obviously known about as rags had been tied around it to catch drips. This was not enough and on our 3rd day the floor was very wet and slippery. The location of the property was great, as was the size of the property but it was let down by very poor management. I would not stay again.
My family and I enjoyed our stay here very much. It was just a short walk to the main sites in Bath. There were also great cafes and a nice grocery store nearby.
This house is decorated beautifully. Communication with the owner was excellent. I loved opening the windows and hearing the Seagulls. This house is several stories high without an elevator, so I highly recommend that you and your party use smaller suitcases whilst traveling in the UK, as we never saw an elevator in any of the homes, B&Bs, or small hotels that we stayed in. We learned that lesson the hard way! With that being said, I think you will love staying here!
We were a family group of 11 people (7 adults and 4 children). The communication with property owner beforehand was really good and we knew exactly what we needed to bring (which was practically nothing for the house), as well as all the information needed while we were there. The location of the house was perfect, we were right in the centre. The bedrooms were perfect for our group with a large family room (slept 5) and 3 other rooms with really comfy beds and spotlessly clean bedding and towels. Would definitely recommend and we really hope to come again in the future.
Fantastic location for a holiday let. Paul was responsive and informative. Tylney House is truly a gem in Bath. We loved our stay and would definitely come back again.
