Summary:
This charming Victorian terrace in Bath, built in 1890 from traditional Bath stone, sits on a quintessential Bath street. Full of original features like fireplaces & wooden floorboards, it offers a peaceful retreat just moments from the city centre. Downstairs, enjoy a well-equipped kitchen, dining room & cosy lounge with smart TV & sofa bed. Upstairs, a double & twin room share a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower & toilet, plus separate WC. Outside, relax on the decking with skyline views.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole house and garden.
The Neighborhood:
The house is situated on a picturesque terrace of traditional Bath stone. It gets the best of both worlds, being on a quiet and peaceful street but only a stone's throw from the city centre. Plus, the new Quays Bridge means you can enjoy a walk along the Avon river into the centre, rather than along the main road!
You could easily spend days exploring this wonderful city: head to the Jane Austen Centre, the famous Royal Crescent, the Holburne Museum of Art and Sydney Gardens to name a few. If you want to travel further, Prior Park Landscape Gardens is only an 8-minute drive away. The house is also convenient for live rugby, with Bathâs stadium less than 25 minutes walk away.
More information on local activities can be found in the comprehensive guest guide.
Getting Around:
The best way to explore Bath is by foot, and many of the local amenities are within a short walking distance from the house. You can easily reach the city by train, with local services running all over the country throughout the day. It is just over an hour from London Paddington and 30 minutes from Bristol. The station is about a 15-minute walk from the house through the city centre. The property also has rear access to the garden so you can easily bring bikes in.
If you do bring a vehicle, we can provide visitor permits for on-street parking a cost of ÂŁ8/day.

Overall the property was clean and equipped with everything we needed. Lovely shower room with shampoo, shower gel provided along which was a lovely touch. Basic cleaning equipment also provided along with dishwasher and tablets. Great location as short walk into Bath, however - in the description of the property it was stated that a parking permit was available at 8 pernight. The day before our arrival we were told there was no pwrmit availability, instead we had to park at one of the town centre carparks which cosy us 42.50 for 2 nights. One of the main reasons I booked this property was the availability of the parking permit as parking in Bath is notoriously difficult. We were a party if 5 so had to make use of the sofa bed in the lounge, the bed was incredibly hard and very uncomfortable so not a great night's sleep. Unfortunately, it was also very uncomfortable as a sofa, after a day walking around the city it was not comfortable for relaxing in the evening. The upstairs beds were comfortable however so for party's of four or less sleeping should be fine.
Distance to town center was a bit of a walk but doable. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms are upstairs. The stairs are steep and very shallow and very difficult for people with mobility issues. Amenities are minimal, as advertised, but more sparse than any short term rental Iâve used.
