It was 30 miles out of Beatty. When we finally arrived it was a double wide trailer. We had to pass a family eating dinner at the single family style table. It was narrow. The Asian room was covered w/ Chinese decor. The 2 rugs in the bathroom were dirty. The bed was ok. It was not comfortable!! There was no table or desk & only one chair.

It was definitely a charming place and unique experience. The owner, Nigel, was very nice. Jennifer and Erika were very friendly. They made sure we were comfortable and got everything we needed. It felt like we stayed over at a family member's house. Highly recommended!

The entire experience was both outstanding and unique!!! Owners are friendly, welcoming and helpful (but not intrusive!) They showed us the best place to sit and gaze at night stars, and introduced us to dogs, a goat and a bevy of peacocks over breakfast coffee. The breakfast was hot and specially made for us. It is a strong memory in an incredible vacation!!! We thank them again.

This is not a conventional hotel and you need to be prepared for that. The property is basically a giant house with a dozen extra bedrooms in the one wing, and detached buildings providing even more sleeping space. This experience is far closer to staying with friends than a hotel. Beds were clean, building and surrounding farm are beautiful, they have a cat and a thousand peacocks. Very fun place to stay, nice people.

It may be farther out from Beatty, but it's a beautiful peaceful B&B. The buildings are old and have history. The interior is wonderfully curated, there is so much to look and marvel at! My room was cozy, and it had both heater and A&C. The breakfast was light (I say this positively, it's my preference), and thoughtfully plated. I saw so many peacocks, two of the sweetest rescue dogs, a rambunctious goat, and two lovely cats (one of them being a charming gentleman of a feral). The scenery around it was very pleasant and vast. Jennifer and Nigel are magnificent conversationalists, and had good information about the national parks and whatever local. Jennifer herself is kind and cares about her work and endeavors. I may have only stayed for what is a total of less than a day, but I feel as if I had such an experience being here!

Plenty of parking, but the 'pet' goat wanted to play and was too big to handle. And the peacocks were too many and too noisy. Staff was great. Breakfast was cooked in front of our eyes and was more than adequate.

The staff, the manager and the cook were awesome. I received a property walk-thru, then I was escorted to my room. Plenty of unpaved parking; 100 yard unpaved driveway. The breakfasts were spectacular, link sausage, fruit cocktail and French toast, made from a fresh French baguette and the next morning fluffy scrambled eggs, sausage, sliced apples and bananas. Both breakfasts had fresh OJ and strong coffee! I was greeted by a tabby cat, a little dog and a horde of peacocks and their chicks! This is a popular place, two couples from the Netherlands, another American couple and another motorcyclist.

Great place for relaxation!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our experience in the cabin with a pool. The views were incredible and our interactions with staff were fantastic (Paul, Erica, Nigel and Jennifer are great hosts). Breakfast was delicious (thanks Paul and Erica!) and we loved our interactions with the goat and all the beautiful peacocks. If you stay here, please note that there is indeed bird poop around, so watch your step. This place is great for much needed quiet and rest after staying in Vegas. If you need provisions, pick them up before your stay (beverages, snacks, etc). It was nice to have free bottled water during our stay, and a big breakfast in the morning. The cabin was delightful and everything was clean and in order. The history of this place is fascinating, so be sure to ask about the events that happened here in the past. Also, it's a great place to watch the stars and look for any activity over Area 51. A most enjoyable place to visit. We were celebrating our anniversary and had a nice little happy hour on the front porch while watching the sunset. We will stay here again! Thanks Shady Lady for an awesome time!
