Beautiful detatched cottage situated within a small hamlet near Bamburgh.
Millstone Cottage, located just outside the beautiful historic town of Bamburgh. It is a detached cottage with 2 good sized bedrooms, a bathroom with an over the bath shower, dining kitchen, living room and beautiful conservatory looking onto a well kept secure garden and gently flowing burn. There is private parking at the front of the cottage and there are a few steps both leading into the front and rear of the cottage. It is situated within the rural hamlet of Waren Mill and a car is strongly recommended, although public transport is available close by.
What a lovely place to stay, so relaxing, clean and comfortable! Very convenient to explore the lovely sites of Northumberland, we visited Bamburgh, Beadnell & Seahouses all are just down the road, ideal base for exploring, we loved relaxing in the conservatory and watching the animals in the paddock opposite, we loved the cottage and the area and would love to visit again
A lovely setting overlooking the Waren Burn and fields beyond. A pretty garden for relaxing in the sunshine. The cottage is very comfortable with quality furniture and a well equipped kitchen. We had a wonderful holiday, Gill provided lots of good information about things to do and places to eat. We thoroughly recommend this cottage.
Really enjoyed our stay at Millstone cottage. The accommodation is beautiful with everything you need and so comfy and clean. We felt really at home straight away. Area great for visiting, with lots of castles and attractions nearby. We went to Bamburgh, Alnwick and Warkworth castles - all great. Also visited the Etal and Ford area - lots to see and do. Caught the train to Edinburgh one day, leaving from Berwick the trains run regularly. Final day at the beach near Seahouses rounded the week off and we even saw seals and dolphins out towards the Farne islands. Brilliant.
A perfect stay at Millstone Cottage for my husband and me. Loved the conservatory. Cottage had everything we needed and instructions were very helpful.Great proximity to the coastal walks we wanted to do. Great to have ordinance maps of the area to use. The amazing weather helped.
Beautiful place very quiet there's many places to visit not to far away the cottage is very well equipped everything you need I have no complaints would definitely stay again
Blown away how lovely this cottage was.
We all loved staying there. Loved the garden. My daughter loved sitting in the conservatory reading.
Great location to visit places. We did holy island, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Wooler,Berwick upon tweed and Edinburgh.
Brilliant week . Highly recommended.
We would love to come back and stay again.
If you want to unwind, this is the place for you. Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle only a short drive away. Enough food options in area if you don't fancy cooking. We went to Edinburgh on train from Berwick as we thought it was going to be a wet day, it didn't rain so bunus!!
Excellent holiday house in great Location, very clean and comfortable with lovely conservatory and overlooking the burn. Would be happy to recommend.
Also great for bird watching only five minute walk to Budle bay.
The cottage was great, directions were spot on. It was in a great area, located nicely between Bambugh and Alnwick. They provided us with some great recommendations to eat at and the conservatory was a great place to sit and enjoy the scenery.
Very comfortable, well maintained and equipped to a high standard. Real bonus to have the conservatory and decking with a river running past the garden. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay thank you.
Beautiful, and a lovely home from home, with everything you need while you're away. This was our first time in Northumberland for us, and we'll certainly hope to stay here again, possibly next year, to explore more of the area đ
We really enjoyed our stay. Gills property suited our needs perfectly. Lovely quiet area perfect base for golf, walking, beaches, eating out etc. Friendly and helpful neighbours. Property well laid out and had everything we needed. I wouldnât hesitate to book again when we return to Northumberland.
We were so lucky with the weather - we had a bright and sunny week in Northumberland. As such, we spent most of our time in the bungalow in the conservatory and garden, which were just lovely. I watered a few new plants which were struggling in the heat... it was just like a home from home :-)
Fab location as well. Handy to get anywhere. Would definitely recommend!
Great cottage, great location. We stayed here in the Autumn which was nice but would love to stay here in Spring/Summer so we could make use of the lovely outdoor area over looking the small Waren Burn river.
Had a very relaxing few days at this cottage, it is so peaceful & yet close to all tourist sites. The bottle of Prosecco on arrival was very nice. Excellent host, would definitely stay here again & would highly recommend.
Had 2 weeks at this cottage, located in a good area for exploring alot to do not very far away.
Nice & clean with everything you need, good conservatory & garden area, we would stay again.
3rd time visiting this beautiful holiday home, idyllic setting listening to the birds and the burn at the bottom of the garden. Everything you need is provided by the owner including games and local tourist attractions. Close to the borders of Scotland and within a shirt distance of Seahouses, Bamburgh, Belford, Alnmouth and many other special places that the north east is renown for.
Thoroughly recommended in all aspects of a great holiday home.
We really loved our stay at the cottage, particularly sitting in the conservatory. The cottage had everything we needed and Gill was very friendly in her communications and left us a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our anniversary. Itâs a central location for all the tourist spots on our list, of which were many! The neighbourhood was very lovely, the only reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because the access is a bit tight, although a Bedford van managed it, so maybe it was just us!
