Mouldy shower, photos different from reality
The apartment was spacious, but the shower was mouldy. The sofa bed was ripped. The door separating the bedroom kept banging if the window was open, we blocked it shut with our trolley bag which then got a thick layer of dust. There was no soap in the toilet when we arrived. Whilst it was spacious, it looked very different from the pictures on hotels.com and for me personally had a depressing feel to it.
Upon informing the hotel, they said they would clean the shower, they refilled the soap promptly. Then they realised it was mould in the shower and said they would send a technician. I asked to swap rooms and they refused. I asked for a refund for the remaining time, and they said i need to deal with hotels.com. they said if i wanted to move hotels i needed to checkout by 12pm. Then they allowed for 1pm as the technicians to look at the mould hadnt arrived.
I contacted hotels.coml who tried contacting the hotel and couldnt get thriugh to the approving manager.
Mould is not safe, by this time I was fed up and wanted to move. I was unable to take a shower. Hotels.com eventually agreed to giving me credit to move to another hotel. Flatotel only apologised when i checked out. Ive noticed that when there are issues to do with money, the hotels are not interested in dealing with the customers and point us towards hotels.com.
Technicians came to assess the situation. What they ended up doing i dont know, as by that time i was so frustrated id left. no ETA for fix given.
