Welcome to the Sunny Pine Cottage!

Leave your car behind and WALK EVERYWHERE! 
or hop on a cruiser bike and explore Bend like a local. Built during Bend's mill town heyday, this bright and sunny cottage has been lovingly restored with all the modern amenities. Prepare a meal in the fully equipped kitchen, cook out on the gas grill or visit one of the many eateries within walking distance. Cozy up on the comfy furnishings and watch a movie or better yet, kick back and relax on the front porch and watch the day go by, Bend style!

It's no doubt that the key to a great vacation is a good night's sleep. The cottage features a queen bedroom and a bedroom with 2 twins; all with ultra-comfy European style bedding, fresh, clean duvet covers and high thread count linens. The 2 twins can be pushed together to form a king at your request.

For families with children, there is no need to pack everything but the kitchen sink. We provide it for you: a portable crib with bedding, booster seat, high chair, baby bathtub, changing pad, children's dishes, utensils, bed rails, books, and quality toys. (The wooden train set has been known to keep young ones occupied FOR HOURS.) You will enjoy the convenience. Your children will enjoy the discovery. There is something for everyone!

The Sunny Pine Cottage is in the heart of Bend. Take a stroll through the charming Westside neighborhood to 10 Barrel Brewing Company, Nancy P's Bakery, Chow (the local's FAVE), Kanpai Sushi, and Backporch Coffee. Kids will love Harmon park and the one-of-a-kind “tug boat” playground a block away on the Deschutes River! From there, it's an easy walk over the quaint wooden bridge, through Drake Park and into downtown.

If you prefer to get out of town and into nature, there are endless hiking and mountain bike trails just minutes from town. The spectacular Cascade mountains and many lakes are an easy 20 minute drive providing endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. Phil's mountain bike trails are 3 miles to the west and many walking and hiking trails along the Deschutes River are right out your front door!

Mount Bachelor Ski Resort is a 25 minute drive from Bend. This mountain is a blast, with a wide variety of terrain and trails that will keep you blissfully enthralled. There is a Mount Bachelor shuttle a few blocks away that will take you to and from the mountain.

Sunny Stay

Fantastic cottage in a great location. The cottage has that old Bend feel with nice furnishings, comfortable bed, and a fully appointed kitchen, IF you decide to eat in. Its in walking distance to all things Bend. I look forward to staying again.

Keep it real

After a family wedding in Camp Sherman we headed to this comfortable neighborhood to relax, restore, and explore. Perfect choice. Trips to Smith Rock, walks along the river, quiet time in a quiet neighborhood, pleasant strolls to nearby pubs and restaurants were just what we bargained for. Many thanks.

Great home in an excellent location

My partner and I spent a week working remotely and taking advantage of a new area. The home was the perfect size, clean, well-stocked, solid Wifi, and in a great area that allowed for easy access to restaurants, groceries, and nearby trail systems. This is a really safe and cute neighborhood - tons of families and folks out and about walking all day. Loved being able to walk across the bridge to downtown or along the river. Bluebird made themselves available all along the way and we felt very supported. Our best experience with a vacation rental in recent history - would definitely book again!

Four nice nights in Bend

Cozy place, quiet neighborhood, close to dozens of restaurants. Only one complaint: we found tiny dead bugs in one of the kitchen cabinets, in two of the measuring cups and in one of the mixing bowls. Yecccck! Your housekeeper may want to take a quick look in the cabinets and at all of the cookware.

Nice Option for Bend

Beds were comfortable, bathroom was small but most definitely adequate—kitchen stove and door locks were a dab sketchy. Parking should be listed as “street only”. Charming furnishings equates to dated, bring your own light if you plan to read in the evening. Nightly rates are quite possibly high enough to pay housekeeping staff—stop guilting guests to tip the staff. Close to Newport Avenue Market for grocery needs—evening walks were a pleasure. Bend is an expensive vacation destination—details are important in turning this property from nice to exceptional.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It's a short walk to the park paths that take you downtown and a couple of block walk to other great restaurants. The neighborhood was very quiet. The cottage was comfortable and just right for a couple. We'd definitely stay here again.

Cozy Cottage Near Everything

Had a very restful time staying in this cozy cottage that was so close to everything. We enjoyed riding the cruiser bikes to downtown and along the river trail and to a number of restaurants. Quiet, beautiful setting to really relax and rejuvenate.

I’m so glad we stayed here
the location is perfect for walking all over Bend! Also the house was clean, quiet, and nicely equipped. Check-in was a breeze, and communication with property mgmt was a breeze. Would love to come back!

Bend friend trip

The property was great. It was a little older than the pictures represented but all in all the home was perfect for our stay. There are 3 gates to the backyard that can be opened from the outside and as 2 females staying there, i would have preferred if they were locked to ensure no one could get in the backyard. The home was well stocked, clean and comfortable.

My husband and I stayed at Sunny Pine Cottage for a week long ski vacation. It was lovely! Clean and comfortable, well equipped kitchen, nicely decorated, and an easy walk downtown through the park. Reservation/check very easy. I would recommend staying here!

Lovely cozy home

Great location close to downtown Bend. Easy to walk to coffee shops and brewpubs. Beds were comfy and appreciated the blackout shades. The kitchen table was perfect for the board games we brought along. My boys enjoyed the book bin and not having to share a bed. Would recommend!

Fabulous little house

We thoroughly enjoyed this little craftsman house! It is in the IDEAL location in Bend. We greatly appreciated that four bikes were provided (they were very worn but suited our purpose and saved us renting them). We really appreciated that the kitchen had some basics like spices, oil, sugar, tin foil, baggies, etc. The house was also supplied with ample paper products, washing machine soap, dish soap, etc. (I think it might be time to inventory the glasses as there is a strange collection.)

Great stay!

Three of my friends and I have been dreaming of a girls trip to visit Bend and Sisters for several years and we finally made it happen! This is such an adorable 1930's cottage with all the design and charm of that era. It is in a quiet location with such a pretty little back yard to sit and enjoy a cup of tea or an evening cook out. The beds are comfortable and the house was very clean. The hosts did a great job checking in by email to make sure we were settled and had everything we needed. Drake Park is a very short walk away. It was so tranquil and beautiful to walk along the path around the water and admire the beautiful houses along the banks. One day we did a short drive to the town of Sisters for shopping and dining. Great place to stay!
