Welcome to your downtown historic retreat. Cecil Sly is IN Downtown Bend. Fully Furnished with 1 king bed and modern amenities, this historic home is registered with the National Register of Historic Places. Warm, inviting and centrally located, this classic and walkable home is just a few steps to Downtown Bend. Perfect for your next Bend stay.

DOWNTOWN LOCATION
Downtown Bend is your front yard from this historic perch. Walk anywhere downtown in just a few minutes. McMenamins is one block away and the Market of Choice grocery store is 4 blocks away in the other direction. This charming historic home is tucked into the historic district of Bend it's so easy to get around from here. The Old Mill, Mirror Pond, and Deschutes River all are so close... and of course Mt Bachelor is just 30 minutes up the road. Attending a concert? This home is about a 20 min walk, along the Deschutes River, to the Hayden Homes Amphitheater. Cecil Sly is located across the street from the Environmental Center and their gardens as well.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
This is a fully rejuvenated 1 bedroom home. You'll sleep soundly in a spacious king bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The living room full size pull out couch is perfect for kiddos or a smaller person. Extra blankets and pillows are provided.

HEATING & COOLING
This historic home has central heat and central A/C. A powerful HEPA room air filter is also provided for your comfort.

600 MBPS WIFI AND SMART TV
Bring your own ethernet cord if you need to access the highest internet speeds. Otherwise, enjoy streaming your own subscriptions and choose from a variety of free channels.

OUTDOOR SPACES & SALT WATER HOT TUB
Who doesn't love a covered porch? Pull up a chair and savor your coffee or a good book while watching neighbors pass by. If you need a little more private, quiet time, head for the private paver patio. It's easy to enjoy this sunny patio perch. Cook on the natural gas BBQ and enjoy outdoor dining on the patio as well. Ready for some hot water relaxation? You'll find the salt water hot tub on the patio. Soak anytime you like, whether to start your day or wind down after a busy day exploring Bend. There is room for bike parking and gear storage in the fenced yard or mudroom of the home. The garage will not be accessible for your stay. ** This is a quiet residential neighborhood! A Stone's Throw Bungalow homes are not appropriate for noisy groups and quiet hours are enforced after 10pm ** We do ask you to be whisper quiet in the hot tub after 10pm.

PARKING
You have your very own parking spot in the driveway. There is an outdoor power outlet on the garage that is perfect for EV trickle charging. No street parking available on the house side of the street. Two (2) hour parking available across the street. There is free street parking available just around the corner in the neighborhood 1/2 to 1 block away. Parking is not available in the garage at this time.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
This home rests where downtown and Old Bend meet, a lovely, historically protected, residential neighborhood. City of Bend quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am and are enforced as are Bend's Good Neighbor Guidelines. Between 10pm-8am, especially when outside enjoying the spaces, please keep noise levels very low and be considerate to our neighbors. Anniversary Getaway

Stones Throw was delightful! Fully stocked with lots of towels and amenities. Will certainly keep this VRBO in mind for a summer visit when the hot tub and outside fun can be had. Location is excellent to downtown. My only question to the owners is why there are two remotes for the TV? We used one, but then could not make the other operate, but my husband did prevail, and we then we only used the one

Beautiful Neighborhood Retreat on the edge of Downtown

This charming home and surrounding neighborhood provided the perfect backdrop for our recent anniversary. The home was very well-appointed: from the bathroom to the laundry to the kitchen, we had everything we needed. And both outdoor spaces provided relaxing perches for us as well. Being on the edge of downtown made it an easy walk to enjoy shopping and several downtown restaurants. Diana was a great host who responded immediately to any questions during our stay.

Property was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed your hot tub in the evenings, Thank you for the quick response when we found the lock not to be working on the hot tub. We were finally able to get the lock open after numerous attempts and you promptly came out and replaced it the next day. We loved the fact that you had a top loading washer that was sparkling clean. We’ve stayed at numerous VRBO’s who have a front loaders which are always moldy and we do not use them. Location was fantastic walking distance to all the downtown shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this property and stay here again!

Location, location, location!!

Want a place that is right in the heart of downtown? This is it! Walk the shops, restaurants, river, you name it. Everything is right at your door. Dog friendly and super clean. Great for 2 adults. It even has a hot tub! Check in was super slick and easy as well as great communication from the host. We'll be back.

Great Christmas Stay

We really enjoyed our stay here for a long Christmas weekend. The house exceeded our expectations and was clean and well stocked with towels, soap, etc. It was the perfect size for a couple and our dog. The kitchen has everything you need to make a nice meal. The location is great. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go and it's close to a nice grocery store. We would love to come back and stay in the spring.

Extremely well sorted out cozy home. Everything you need to have a great time in Bend. Beautiful kitchen with very high end appliances and all accessories to cook a wonderful meal. Spotless in all respects. Walking distance to town, 5 minutes. Host was quick to respond to a question we had. Notebook in home with every detail about the home and many other useful bits of information about the city and areas around. A + property.

Perfect couples getaway

We loved our time spent here. It was close to all the downtown restaurants and shops. The hot tub was relaxing and clean. The size of the house was just right for the two of us and we appreciated the well stocked kitchen and cozy bed. We will definitely stay again!

We were very comfortable and really enjoyed the space. Walking distance to downtown and beautiful Drake Park. Highly recommend a Big-O bagel breakfast in the park - wonderful. Great community garden across the street that had some unique and friendly visitors, perfect for us!

Perfect Location, Adorable House

Convenient to just about everything, this cute little historic home is perfect for a couple's weekend. House is clean, comfortable and well-stocked. Lots of natural light, kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Especially loved the outdoor dining area. Would definitely stay here again. Be sure and check out the recommendations book inside the home. Some gems in there for sure.
