Please be sure to inquire with the correct number of guests to see the most accurate pricing, as group size impacts pricing.
We are pet friendly, so please be sure to include your pets in your inquiry, as the pricing will change to include an additional fee. While we are excited to welcome your fur babies into our home, we ask that guests be sure to clean up after their pets both inside and outside. We also ask guests to keep pets off of all furniture including beds. This makes cleaning easier and also protects future guests with allergies. Lastly, pets (especially dogs) MUST be crated if left alone in the home. If these particular rules are not followed, an additional fee may be added at the end of your stay.

The hot tub is available year round! We ask that guests be sure to shower prior to using this wonderful amenity, as this ensures the water stays clean and clear. If the hot tub is left in a dirty and messy state, there will be an additional cleaning fee.

Under no circumstances do we allow smoking in the house. Smoking is allowed outside, far away from the entrances and windows of the house. We ask guests to refrain from tossing cigarettes onto the property.

NB: Reservations consisting of greater than 12 persons will be asked to sign a separate rental agreement which simply enforces the house rules, as specified in this rental listing.

Right in historic, downtown Bennington.
You'll have complete access to the home, surrounding yard, and hot tub. There a few doors that are locked and marked private, which include storage closets and the basement. We ask that guests refrain from going into those spaces.
**We welcome large groups to our home and kindly ask that you inquire prior to booking if you are expecting groups of more than 16 people. We include an additional fee for larger groups, for insurance and liability purposes, and want to be sure you are able to see the full amount you will be paying prior to booking. Thanks!**

This historic home combines the beauty, charm, and décor of old-fashioned homes, with the comfort and amenities of modern living. New updates include boiler, oil tank, plumbing, electric, bar room, and hot tub. The home boasts 6 bedrooms, many of which also have private bathrooms. There is a lot of space, which makes this home perfect for hosting large events such as family gatherings! Our large kitchen is fully functional with all major appliances and even contains an industrial sink; however the kitchen is not as polished as the rest of the home. Though much of the home has been updated, care was taken to preserve much of the wood work that was done in the original construction. We guarantee, the detail in the original work will astound you!

This home is a 10 minute walk from historic, downtown Bennington. Bennington is most well-known for the Bennington Battle Monument, which commemorates the Battle of Bennington during the American Revolutionary War and for being the resting place of Robert Frost, renowned American poet. Bennington is also home to several small art galleries and museums. Once you're done exploring, enjoy many of the restaurants and breweries within walking distance! There's also a fabulous restaurant, The Miller's Toll, right next to the house. We definitely recommend you make a reservation at this restaurant before your stay!

Interested in staying in a small Vermont city, but also want to get the rural feel? Bennington is within a short drive of the Green Mountain National Forest! Plenty of hiking and swimming options are available. We are also within an hour's drive from many world-class ski resorts including Mt. Snow, Stratton Mountain, and Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort. After a day on the slopes, come back and enjoy our 8 person hot tub!

**WE PREFER TO HOST GUESTS WHO ARE 25 OR OLDER**

We can easily fit several air mattresses in the rooms, and groups over 16 guests are welcome to bring their own for sleeping.**

Great stay for a large group
We had a great weekend here celebrating a friend's birthday. There were tons of beds, lots to do in the house, lots of things to do nearby, and communication with the host was prompt and great throughout our time there. I would highly recommend.

Ideal location & good for large groups / multiple families
The property is situated in a great location within town. You can walk to several convenience stores and restaurants. Also a short walk to a playground right behind the property. Nice big yard set far enough back from the street to be private. The property is a converted BNB, so expect it to feel that way. Lots of space for people to spread out yet big enough common areas to come together. The bar room was great to gather in the evening. Note that the kitchen is pretty spartan; it's designed as a "service" kitchen right off of the bar room.

Amazing stay
16 members of our family came together to celebrate our Mom’s 80th birthday. This house in Bennington was classic history with modern conveniences. It is huge with big comfortable gathering spaces many bedrooms (with private baths). It was quiet, a houseful of people and in your bedrooms there was absolutely no noise. This incredible historic house is in walking distance to quaint downtown Bennington with its many shops and eateries. We had a wonderful time. Check in and check out so easy. Amazing accommodations led to an unforgettable vacation!

Escape to Green Mountain State
I, along with 11 girlfriends, comfortably stayed at this gorgeous historical home for the weekend. And Bennington, VT did not dissapoint! Perfectly close to downtown to walk in the morning for coffee, bagel sandwiches, antiques, and we even caught a food truck festival. **"The Local" had amazingggg honey cinnamon creamed cheese amongst others, best cream cheese bagel I've ever had. Almost every room had its own beautiful bathroom which made everyone's stay so comfortable. Rooms were so quiet when doors shut. Beautiful yard and firepit, along with grill and kitchen access made for memories of group dinners and endless laughs. We can't wait to come back and do it again. Thank you for a safe, clean, and professional rental! It truly felt like home away from home for the weekend. :)

Fantastic Property for Groups
My friends and I stayed at the property for a weekend and the house and outdoor space were fantastic (and larger than expected). Vermont is beautiful in the summer and this house didn’t disappoint. The layout worked really well for everyone to have their own rooms/bathrooms and also space for the whole group (12) to gather comfortably. We enjoyed using the bar room for meals, the sun room, game room, and fire pit. The proximity to town and activities was an added bonus as we could walk to local restaurants. Every accommodation was thought of and it was perfect for our group. The Property Manager was super helpful and communicated well before/during/after our stay. Would definitely book the property again!
