Avis pour Charming Downtown Bentonville Home â Perfect for Bikers, Art Lovers & Adventure
We stayed over Labor Day weekend. The house is in a great location and the check-in process was smooth. The home is a little older, but it was well decorated and had everything we needed. The home was clean too. The big negative for us was that there was a strong cigarette smoke smell throughout the house despite the listing saying smoking was not allowed. We communicated the issue to the property manager immediately and got a quick reply. We were told they would request for someone to come and work on the air quality issue the next day, but no one showed up. We notified them again, but no results.Communication was very good, but there was no follow through. We have stayed at other homes with this property manager (Vacasa) and had better experiences. Disappointing. This would have been a very nice home/stay if it werenât for the very strong smoke smell. Not ideal for a stay with kids.
This was a great spot to stay in while we were in town for Bentonville Bike Fest. The location was amazing - so close to the square, great area for biking, running, walking. It was on the corner of a road but still felt safe and quiet. Only thing we didn't love about the property was the oven. It was way too finicky and felt a bit unsafe to use. Instructions could have used a diagram to make it a bit clearer. Only one burner worked at a time and it took a bit of finagling the first few uses. Otherwise, lovely place!
This place was nice- the primary suite bathroom was especially roomy. The stove/ oven was quaint and worked well. The decor was fun. We had a great time here.
This is a good property with a lot of potential, but in its current state, I would not recommend staying here. Either the management company or the owners are trying too hard for a specific motif and vibe that doesn't work.
This is our fourth trip to Bentonville to mountain bike over a long weekend, and we've had great experiences each time; however, this was one of the most uncomfortable stays we've had. I don't think you could find more uncomfortable furniture in the living room. Five guys tried to sit around and watch the final four basketball, yet the chairs and the sofa weren't remotely comfortable. We brought lawn chairs out of the back of our truck and brought them into the house and sat on those.
Also, a plumber needs to inspect the showers in the upstairs and also in the master bathroom. At a minimum, the heads need to be replaced. I could've showered quicker by pouring cups of water over my head.
The property's highlight (outside its killer location) is the bedroom(s) mattresses. They were extremely comfortable, and all of us slept well. Each person reported that their bed was quite comfortable!
Also, while having a bike rack in the garage and plenty of storage for all of our equipment was nice, having a hose to connect outside to wash our bikes would be nice.
We had a great stay in Bentonville at this adorable house! The space is nicely decorated and a little eclectic / artsy. Lots of towels, comfy beds and all the utensils we needed for kitchen. Only surprise was the very old oven and stove. I thought they were decor in the pictures but were the only ones in the house. They work but not something most are familiar cooking on. Just plan ahead for meals and know what you have to work with.
Several things were not functioning- dishwasher, ice maker, upstairs toilet, sink, shower, and the garage door. The most dangerous item were the bunk beds that were not correctly constructed. You could topple them to the floor with one finger (luckily we had no children with us). The kitchen had one metal baking pan, no glass pans for microwave, no large mixing bowl, and 2 ancient cast iron ovens that had no directions for use. Thankfully, the property managers were prompt to respond and helped us with everything. The stay would have been terrible without them.
