It owes its name to the "Soleleitungsweg", a high-altitude trail that starts just outside the front door, with a magnificent view over Berchtesgaden and the Alpine panorama. This location is the ideal starting point for hikes, mountain tours, excursions to the attractions in Berchtesgadener Land and the Mozart city of Salzburg.
