I really wanted to like this hotel but just didn’t. Things didn’t start well when there was hair and dirt on the floor of the room when we arrived. Staff were fine but not overly friendly or attentive. They often seemed overwhelmed to me. And finally, if you want to sleep, I don’t recommend the location. It’s convenient to the boats and the funicular but it’s very loud at all hours of the night. Because the room was stuffy, we slept with the windows open, and for three nights, people were screaming at 3 and 4am. It was impossible to sleep. If you like being in a tourist trap, this place is for you, but it definitely wasn’t for me.

Great place to stay!
This hotel is perfectly nestled in the center of Bergen. It’s just close enough to all the places you’d want to visit but in a very quiet spot, in my opinion. Service was great. Everyone that assisted me was kind and courteous, especially when I had trouble with the umbrella rental machine. Breakfast was delicious. A wide variety of choices and the breakfast room big enough I never had trouble finding a table. I would most definitely stay here again!

Fantastic property, amazing breakfast. Very friendly and clean. Noise outside does travel through rooms that face the street so it can be quite loud in the room depending where you are staying. There is a bar near the hotel and it closes around 2am so you can hear people talking and yelling! But overall, we loved the place!
