Een last minute deal geboekt in Frankrijk, Elzas, Bergheim. Is prima bevallen. Het appartement voor 4 personen zou wel te krap geweest zijn - weinig bergruimte, maar voor ons met z'n tweeën voldeed de ruimte. De inrichting was eenvoudig, maar goed genoeg voor ons. En het keukenblok krap, maar wel met al het nodige. De TV (150 kanalen) half Frans, half Duits. Personeel (ook Engels sprekend) vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bergheim ligt aardig centraal van alle bezienswaardige plaatsen en dorpen, etc.

VER-SCHRIK-KE-LIJK. Een Frans vakantiestrafkamp, met zeer ongastvrije baliemedewerksters. We vonden het zo vervelend hier dat we niet weten waar te beginnen. Laten we toch een poging wagen. Je kunt hier slechts tussen vijf en acht uur ‘s avonds inchecken. Daarvoor en daarna is de balie niet bemand. Dit betekent standaard minstens drie kwartier wachttijd, want horden Fransen arriveren tegelijkertijd. Je kunt bij het inchecken het best meteen je uitchecktijd vastleggen - een medewerkster komt namelijk persoonlijk controleren of je wel alles in goede orde hebt achtergelaten! -, want als je pech hebt en alle uitchecktijden zijn inmiddels bezet moet je al om acht uur ‘s ochtends je appartement verlaten. Dat je dus tot 10.00 uur kunt uitchecken is alleen diegenen gegund die meteen een uitcheck- en controlemoment vastleggen. Bij aankomst bleken wij een verkeerd appartement toegewezen te hebben gekregen. Een kastbed werd hier uitgelegd als een slaapbank, wat niet overeen kwam met de beschrijving en de foto’s van Belvilla, die een stapelbed beloofden. Eén telefoontje met Belvilla bevestigde ons gelijk, maar de Franse bedrijfsleidster wenste niet mee te werken. Ondanks slecht bereik en slechte internetverbinding werd ons niet één keer aangeboden de telefoon of de Wifi van het complex te gebruiken. Toen we de volgende ochtend - door toedoen van Belvilla, dank hiervoor! - alsnog het juiste appartement kregen werd ons vijf minuten gegund om onze spullen over te huizen en het volledig schoon op te leveren - anders moesten we €60,- betalen. Nog nooit zulke onsympathieke medewerkers meegemaakt. Het appartement was aan de prijs, maar wij dachten daar veel luxe voor terug te krijgen. De waarhed is dat er qua faciliteiten WEINIG tot NIETS is. En wat er is kost extra geld. Het zwembad is klein, en al gesloten als je ‘s avonds terugkomt van een lange dagtrip. Er hangt een enorme poster met wat allemaal niet mag (o.a. met een boxer zwemmen, make-up dragen, met een bal spelen). De fitness was niet open, ook al zou dat volgens de openingstijden wel het geval moeten zijn. Er is NIETS in het appartement qua schoonmaakmiddelen, dit moet je zelf meenemen of kopen in een supermarkt. Laten schoonmaken kost €60,- Er is wel een vaatwasser, maar NIET één vaatwasblokje. Er is GEEN toiletpapier aanwezig. Een ouder Nederlands echtpaar vroeg bij de balie één rol voor de laatste twee dagen, maar die moesten ze maar in een supermarkt gaan halen! Wifi tegen lokaal tarief betekent €35,- voor een week. Helaas is de 4G ontvangst soms erg slecht. Televisie kost €42,- voor een week, maar er wordt niet bijverteld dat er ALLEEN Franse zenders te ontvangen zijn. Bedden zijn niet opgemaakt, in tegenstelling tot de omschrijving. Je krijgt zakken met beddengoed mee, die je bij vertrek ook weer zelf moet inleveren. Badlinnen kost €8,- p.p. Afval dien je zelf te sorteren en weg te brengen. Daarvoor moet je naar enkele containers die NIET op het terrein van het complex staan. Daarboven betaal je ook nog eens €2,80 afvaltax. En er is GEEN airco. De appartementen zijn vrij klein en ongezellig en sober ingericht. Er is GEEN privacy. Het complex is gehorig, en balkonnetjes kijken op elkaar uit. Bij aankomst op de parking wordt je vanaf tien balkonnetjes aangestaard. De meeste Fransen koken zelf, wat behoorlijke overlast qua geuren geeft. Wij hadden ook nog de pech zowel aan de kant van de parking als aan de kant van de zwembadinstalatie te zitten: voortdurend lawaai (zowel dag als nacht) en chloorlucht. Onze buren rookten op het balkon, wat tot in ons appartement te ruiken was. Wij hebben al vaker bij Belvilla geboekt en zijn nooit bedrogen uitgekomen. We kwamen voor we in Bergheim incheckten uit Italië, waar we in een superappartement verbleven op een Toscaans landgoed. Wat een DECEPTIE was vervolgens dit Franse vakantiestrafkamp. Veel te duur, geen luxe, en onpersoonlijk en onvriendelijk personeel. Belvilla onwaardig!
