A house built of natural materials, proudly built on a stone wall over which we placed old beams mostly recovered from a demolished barn in Sălciua, Alba County.
The roof is made of mountain shingles because we value the way our ancestors used to work, the walls are varnished, wooden floors are on the floor, the furniture is made of old wood or gathered from the villages, and the house is heated by a wood-burning stove, the heart of the house.
The space
The house has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a single bed, with round windows looking out onto the hill in front or the trees in the orchard. Downstairs you can also sleep on the "lejancă", a bed (with a mattress stuffed with wool and hay) heated by the stove, the heart of the house. The same stove provides heat throughout the house.
A bathroom because the house is also small and we designed it for the use of one - two families and a fully equipped kitchen.
For peace and quiet we didn't install a TV but we have high speed internet, video projector, screen and a Bluetooth speaker that you can take outside for outdoor movie nights.
Orchard of 7500 sqm and endless hills all around.
Easy car access on paved/concrete road to the front door.
Guest access
The house is located 750 meters from the entrance to Bertea, on the right side of the main road.
Other things to note
On request, people from the village can provide you with meals and/or natural products from the garden.
