It is a fabulous place to relax after a dayâs exploring. At the rear and with access to a private rear patio for summer dining. Lower Bamburgh view is literally in the centre of the village and is a stoneâs throw from the shops and pubs, so youâll not go hungry or thirsty. The excellent eating places on the island get booked up well in advance during busy periods. We recommend that you book well in advance to avoid disappointment. Berwick is around a 15 minute drive and is the nearest large town in the area.
The varied range of activities through Northumberland and the nearby Scottish Borders is massive and whether its sea kayaking, diving, hill walking or beaches or even riding a bike over hills or through woods, the list is endless. The Island with the Priory and nearby Bamburgh with the castle are âMust doâsâ - donât forget your camera!
Free WiFi
Please note there may be occasional noise from the upstairs apartment.
If you are planning to have food delivered for your stay both Asda and Tesco provide this service to the island.
Holy Island is a fantastic place, and the cottage is an ideal location.
We found the cottage to have everything we needed. We would stay again, which speaks volumes. Tha cottage is equipped for 4 but make sure you take your own tea & coffee and depending when you get there the shops may be closed.
There is only one downside as you only rent downstairs you do get noise from upstairs which can sometimes be quite loud, but we survive.
The cottage and weekend were amazing we will be back.
Lovely ground floor apartment with in the heart of the village. It would be a little snug for four people, also no welcome pack, so take your own provisions as no tea , coffee or milk we arrived at 5pm and all the shops had closed.
I stayed here for 3 nights with my parents who are in their eighties. Everything is on one level so it was perfect for them. I was able to park close by which was a bonus as they have a wheelchair.
Itâs a beautiful place to stay if like us you just want to be able to have a holiday which is accessible. Lindisfarne is a stunning island to visit and although we didnât go off road they thoroughly enjoyed their short break here.
If youâre a walker you couldnât pick a more perfect base.
