This villa is absolutely lovely and perfectly situated for strolls around betancuria, local walks, or trips across the Ireland. The host (Alvaro) is very friendly and responsive. The day I arrived there was a huge storm, and Alvaro’s father came to make sure I could get in safely without getting lost or totally soaked.A fantastic experience. Stay, you won’t regret it :-)

Best Ever!
Pros: It was a privilege to be able to stay in this gorgeous, spacious house with traditional Canarian architecture and a large, quiet garden looking out onto the historical capital of Fuerteventura. Rustic charms aside, the property still offers all sorts of modern conveniences (including a washing machine); everything is well-designed and well-thought out for the guests’ comfort. Above all else, it is the warmth, kindness, and generosity of the host family that stands out. Communications was perfect throughout; I loved the personal reception during check-in (unlike most other places that use sms and a code for the key box), and Alvaro even proactively checked in on me during the middle of my stay, showing the level of care for his guests.
Cons: It was difficult that Betancuria is so small and remote, without any grocery stores and frequent bus connections to other towns, but the Armas family jumped to the rescue without hesitation whenever they knew I encountered difficulties, and I cannot thank them enough!
Schon das Ankommen war gut, da die Gastgeberfamilie uns persönlich begrüsst und uns alles gezeigt hat. Das Haus hat einen sehr geschmackvollen, grosszügigen Aussenbereich und bietet sehr viel Ruhe und Komfort inklusive bequemer Betten und stabilem Internet. Die Gastgeberfamilie ist sehr herzlich. Der Nachbarort Antigua hat einen guten Supermarkt und deckt alles ab, was man im Urlaub benötigt. Wir sind viel gewandert und waren immer mal wieder am Strand, alles liess sich mit dem Mietwagen gut erreichen. Jederzeit wieder!
Pros: Wer Ruhe und Erholung in einem schönen Dorf sucht, ist dort genau richtig. Wir haben im Januar und Februar 2025 mehr als 5 Wochen in dem Haus verbracht. Was Sauberkeit betrifft sind wir anspruchsvoll und wir haben das Haus diesbezüglich perfekt vorgefunden. Alles war in einem guten Zustand, das Internet funktionierte in allen Räumen bestens. Die Küche war zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Einige Tage war es draußen recht kühl, aber dank der Klimaanlage war es im Haus wohlig warm. Auch in dieser Jahreszeit konnte man fast jeden Tag im Meer schwimmen und die zahllosen Strände genießen.
Die Gastgeberfamilie ist so sympathisch, völlig unaufdringlich und doch stets hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns stets gefreut, sie ab und zu zu treffen (z.B. Gartenpflege, Wäschewechsel, zufällig beim Einkaufen). Seit Jahren verbringen wir viel Zeit im Winter auf verschiedenen kanarischen Inseln und können das Haus sehr empfehlen.
