Cozy
This little cool and cozy cabin is that, not loud at all, less than 10 min from the gas stations, and big bear lake, nice heater that keeps the property nice and warm during this winter. You get what you pay for and i like this :)

The property itself would've been a stellar experience if it wasn't for the cold water. The shower only had hot water for a little less than 3 minutes, and was cold for the rest of our time being there. The house also did not provide us the best heaters to keep us warm throughout the night. The fireplace was the closest thing that could keep us warm although it took quite some time for the house to start getting warm.

I liked the commutation with the host who answered my call quickly. The cabin is clean, but there were a few things that I disliked. The smell of ant killer was so strong that it gave me headache, I had to sleep with the window open for 2 nights. We stayed for 3 nights and the smell lingered around the whole time which was very annoying. When we got back home, the first thing I did was to wash everything we brought, that's how bad the smell was! I liked the fact that there are 2 beds and 1 futon that fitted our needs, but the quality of the beds and especially the futon were horrible. Very uncomfortable to sleep on. The futon was uneven and there's a big dip in the middle so it's hard on my back. I did appreciate the availability though, but I guess you pay for what you get. The cabin was small and in ok neighborhood, but everything that comes with it is just very poor quality and unpleasant.

For the price not bad and allows dogs
For the price it’s not bad. Older mountain cottage that seemed clean inside. My only complaints were the electric grill outside was not working (had to cook inside) and the outside area needs landscaped pretty badly. I get that in winter snow probably kills it off then summer it probably grows like crazy but maybe 1 landscape session per summer would be good so it doesn’t look so overgrown. Not a good look.

Stay is good
The stay was nice, the heater works amazingly, however the isn't much spare linens, or alot or cooking ware, the top of the fridge and the window seals and on the window was covered in thick dust. And the hammock is missing. Other than that we enjoyed our time and the yard was very fun to play in with child and dog, it's very quiet neighborhood and close to many trails, would rather stay in woodlands than big bear city any day

Mr. Vic. It would a great , if you would accept the fact that everyone is not phone hip, i'm 62,check in is on the phone. You need to have everything via email or text and please remember not everyone brings there labtop with them. You need to have a notebook on the table to check in and check out with all the codes for wifi and tv and such. We needed wash/face clothes, hand soap, my wife put soap in the dispencer but the tube that dispences the soap broke off. The walls need to be painted as there are black marks everywhere. Above all you need to either give all the dogs in the area chocolate for a week and kill them or you tell all customers to either drink alot or have ear plugs. The dogs bark and howl all night long so we did not get any sleep. But all in all it would be a nice place to stay. We will not stay here again. Take care God Bless Douglas you need to have a

Disappointed experience
The host was very responsive and nice, however the house was not clean. There were dirty walls and baseboards throughout the house. The kitchen had food splatter on the wall behind the stove. The bathroom grout was not clean on the floors and in the bathtub/shower. The front bedroom had a pet urine odor problem, that was masked with a fragrance when we first arrived. We originally added a night to arrive early (which the host was helpful and accommodating with). We would have left after that first night, but unfortunately we were in town for a family celebration and did not have any other option. After the second night we decided to cut our trip short and returned home (missing a portion of the scheduled festivities). The host immediately returned the extra night fee, which was appreciated, but overall it was a disappointing experience and cost us more than it was worth. Photos were taken of the issues and forwarded to the host, who said the issues would be addressed and apologized for the experience.
