About this space
The Sweetgrass Cottage is quaint and well-equipped suite located within walking distance of downtown Big Timber.

The cottage includes free off-street parking right in front of the private entrance, a gas grill, fast Wi-Fi, A/C, and a washer/dryer (available by request), as well as many other items to help make your stay more enjoyable. Very peaceful and comfortable whether you are staying for a night or several months.
The space
The cottage includes a master bedroom/bathroom that features a queen bed and jacuzzi tub/shower combination. There is a sitting room that is home to both a couch and recliner (note: I have fast WIFI but no TV) not to mention an assortment of games. The kitchenette/dining room is stocked very nicely for an overnight or extended stay, with the kitchen having a small refrigerator, hot plate, microwave, toaster, Keurig, single-serve coffee maker, blender, all the basic pots pans and utensils.

While the cottage is ideally suited to couples, there is a couch and recliner that could easily sleep small children as long as everyone is clear that the one bathroom is accessible only via the master bedroom.

Guests have complete access to their 100% private suite, plus access to the backyard propane grill.

The Sweetgrass Cottage is always stocked with: toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, coffee, sweeteners, creamers, cooking oil, salt, pepper, etc.

We will gladly offer a discount for monthly and weekly stays during certain times of year. Once monthly cleaning is available for those staying 30 days or longer.

Again, you will access the cottage via your own private entrance using personalized keypad entry, and will have full access to the entire suite, but the cottage is attached to part of the main home, and while the cottage is fully private you do share a wall.

Clean and comfortable

Jenny was great with communications. She had lots of extras like coffee, trail snacks, shampoo/conditioner, water and sparkling water in the fridge. She even put chocolate truffles by each bed side. The only thing missing is a TV. We were able to use our laptop as a tv so it all worked out. All in all we had a very comfortable stay at Sweetgrass Cottage and would definitely stay here again.

Was in the Bozeman/Yellowstone area while my wife was on a work retreat. Good location with proximity to a bunch of great activities. The Sweetgrass Cottage was a good location to come back to at the end of the day. The Wi-Fi was great and allowed me to keep in touch. There were treats including chocolate truffles by the bed that kept my sweet tooth in check. The host had a great coffee bar with snacks set up. It was very thoughtful and a nice touch. Really enjoyed my time here!!!

Just crazy about the crazies.

This is a wonderful, clean, and convenient property. This host has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Timely communications, beautifully decorated, unexpected perks. Convenient to hiking trails. Big timber creek trail from half moon campground is recommended, but high ground clearance vehicle is in order. Bear spray is also advised.

A pleasant surprise

My wife and I were very pleased with Sweetgrass Cottage. When my wife reviewed the online photos she thought the property was just a small bedroom area - she hadn't looked at the other photos - I had - and she said she wondered why I was so interested in such a small place to stay. When she walked in the door, she said that it looked like a very nice apartment! Jenny has done a great job with preparing it for guests - neat , clean and well-stocked. Plus, when I contacted her about other places to visit nearby (though I had been to Big Timber before, her tips led us to good food and even a horseback ride nearby).
