Mixed Experience

Pros: the hotel is decently located, clean, and has great on site amenities (store, costa, work space, etc.). The staff is great! Both front desk employees we interacted with were friendly and professional. Cons: My room reservation was for two twins or a king bed. The bed was maybe a queen--likely a double. Despite being small, if was comfortable, and the size wasn't too big of an issue for us, but if I were coming to stay here I would definitely make sure at check in that the room has the right bed size. The last night of our stay the guests next to us in our tiny shared hall were smoking, a lot, with their door open with kids and various men coming in and out of the room, many coming up the stairs to avoid the elevators (I think). It was strange and didn't feel safe. This isn't the hotels fault, and they immediately came up when I let then know, addressed it, and moved us upon request, so they did their best. It just wasn't an ideal situation, and I am left wondering if more security/safety measures are needed to curb this kind of thing. At 4am the fire alarm went off for one loud blaring screech and stopped. No idea if it was related to the smokers. I don't really know how to rate the hotel because the staff and room in general were nice, but other guests were not. I honestly wouldn't stay again just out of a lack of feeling safe, though, which is a shame because it has spacious, well-equipped, comfortable rooms in a good location.

Bank Holiday Break.

It was a great stay, with one exception. On the second(sunday)day of my stay, their was a glitch with the tv.It displayed menus on both Freeview and YouTube, but no picture on tv and would not play videos on YouTube. This glitch disappeared the following day, so might have been a software problem. Otherwise, no complaints.
