Nestled in a breathtaking landscape, our new self-catering cabin on the Hirschberg in Bizau is a fairy-tale setting—quietly situated with nature right at your doorstep and a wonderful treehouse for children right at the edge of the forest.

The Hirschberg Cabin is located at 790 meters above sea level and can accommodate up to 10 people. Two double bedrooms, a shared room with two sets of three-person bunk beds, a bathroom, and a modern, fully equipped kitchen-dining area with an additional stove create a truly cozy and rustic atmosphere.

A large dining table that seats up to 10 people invites you to linger. If you’d like to watch TV while you’re at it, that’s no problem either. Thanks to the extendable wall mount, the TV can be adjusted to any desired position and viewed even from the adjacent sofa.

The bathroom is equipped with an accessible shower featuring a rain showerhead and a handheld showerhead.
In addition, two separate restrooms are available.

The nearby forest with its small stream provides soothing sounds of nature. Every now and then, the attentive observer may even spot some wildlife.

Our handcrafted natural wood beds, complete with freshly made linens, ensure a restful night’s sleep. Furthermore, the entire cabin is built from natural solid wood and features numerous sustainable elements.
Infrared heaters, powered by photovoltaic systems and running on 100% green electricity, provide cozy warmth in every room.

You can park right next to the cabin.

In both summer and winter, you’ll find plenty of recreational activities right from the cabin. From beautiful hikes, mountain tours, ski tours, snowshoeing, tobogganing, and bobsledding—there’s something for everyone.

Just about a 15-minute drive away is the Mellau-Damüls ski area, the largest ski area in the Bregenzerwald. The Diedamskopf ski area is about a 20-minute drive away.

Wellness enthusiasts can relax in nearby Bad Reuthe, which is only a 6-minute drive away.

In the summer, children can retreat to the treehouse or have fun on the long slide.

A large fountain in front of the house is perfect for wading.

You can comfortably wind down the day on the terrace behind the house, which features a large grill.

For stays of 3 nights or more, you’ll receive the Bregenzerwald & Großes Walsertal Guest Card, which allows you to use all cable cars, public transportation, and swimming pools in the region for free. Valid: May 1 through October 31.
If you arrive in October, the card is expected to remain valid until November 8, 2026, as a goodwill gesture (excluding public transportation).
