The room smelt like a sewage plant when we arrived . The toilet was filling up with sewage from other toilets . We had booked for two nights but left after one night . We told staff about the problem but the maintenance bloke never turned up . We weren’t offered a discount

Room dated, had a bath prefer a shower, no handwash. Hotel clean. Not sure why they ask for your car keys on arrival 🤔 i didnt hand them in. Asked for a hard boiled egg at breakfast for my little one 3 times i sent an egg back that wasnt hard boiled.

The room was absolutely nothing like shown on the website, the room allocated was very dated, I’m sure last decorated 40-50 years ago. (This is not an exaggeration) It had pink fleur de lis wallpaper with paper boarders and really dated furniture. A very old pink bathroom en-suite with awful dirty and stained (black in-places) ceiling tiles. The room had no plug sockets near the bed, and a bedside cabinet that the door had been broken off. It was noisy and every floorboard squeaked, not only in our room but the one above, you could hear the conversation that people were having next door and a muted one from the room above as well as hearing them use the loo. The reviews I’ve read make me feel like this is a different hotel because this rates at one of the worst I’ve stayed, at over £100 per night without breakfast I’d expect much more, apparently because I used Expedia there was small print that I’m yet to find that says I may be put in an un-refurbished room. They also had the cheek to take an extra £50 (refundable) on paying to cover any damages, quite how they could tell I don’t know. If they are undergoing refurbishment then these rooms should not be sold in the interim, it was absolutely shocking.

Decent Value/Decent location/ parking charges

Room was old and dated. It was clean and plenty hot water for baths/shower. Wall in room 307a are damp stained and the decor is grandma’s attic but the main bed was comfy. The single bed is cheaper than cheap. Other party were in 109 which was more modern but right above entertainment and subject to the full noise of being there!

The parking was ok , i just didnt expected to pay £10 per night for parking at the hotel Or have to put down a £ 100 bond for the room . Are room was clean but wallpaper near the window was coming off the wall . Are room number was room 110 if you want to go look at it for yourself . Sorry no pictures didnt know you wanted any .
