This apartment felt like a scam experience.
The apartment was not clean on arrival- mainly the bedding and sofa, they were covered in sand, hair and grass (so they had not been cleaned after the previous users!)
The dining chairs were broken, wobbly and unsafe to sit on, bent legs, not fit for purpose.
We stayed in July, peak Summer time, the heat outside was obviously alot, but was worse indoors! There were no pedestal fans/ table top fans, we had children in our family stay, they struggled to get comfortable and were very upset due to this.
The kettle was filthy so we were not able to use it. There were no shower toiletries provided, so we had to buy. Only 2 toilet rolls were supplied for a family of 8 (the apartment can accommodate upto 8), so we had to buy more. There were only 3 towels (for a FAMILY OF 8), so we had to buy more.
No big liners were in the cupboards, so we could not empty the bin and replace the bin bag.
The cutlery and cups were not washed (had sticky residue).
None of the TV remotes worked (dead batteries or poor connection?), the tv would turn on and off, but you could not make the remote do anything else (scroll/ change channels etc.
The only pros of this apartment are:
- next to the St Chads Road tram stop,
- wifi was available.
We tried to raise the issues with the host, and received no response. The lack of care is disappointing and not up to standard of what is expected from an apartment at this price.
