Very worn down, smells very distinctive when you walk in and out of the hotel. Make sure you lock your door i had on 2 occasions a random guest walk into my room thinking it was their room.
Great value for money. Paid more for poorer hotels in the area. I booked OakLea based on the reviews and it was exactly as reviewed. Very friendly people which was nice, room was clean, warm, comfortable would definitely stay again. Didnât have food there as we had made plans elsewhere.
Wi-Fi signal was either very weak or nonexistent, which the teenagers hate. Then the TV in one of our rooms was broken. The carpets and interior of the whole building is very dated. Just a dump.
This was my 2nd time at Oak Lea.
Staff are lovely and helpful, my room was a good size, comfy bed again. The room had a Desk and chair in the room which was great.
Bathroom again fairly big and lovely shower.
No complaints from me and will happily stay again on future visits for work in Blackpool.
I was in one of the upper floors accessible via the lift
Property was a good size and grewt location, we didn't spend much time in the room but it was nice size and very clean. Only downside was we had no spoon with the tea & coffee facilities.
Very tired Hotel, was not impressed with cleanliness in room carpet was very dirty and banging of bedroom doors all the time, could hear next door TV was on and them talking, won't be back.
we have stayed here on several occasions now and the last couple have been disappointing due to the loud music coming from the bar area in the basement. On the first couple of visit this could not be heard but it seems that the volume has been increased. Why?
My i suggest that you turn it down a bit as you will be aware there will be guests who just wish to SLEEP and not heard the noise from the basement.
Shame to have to moan, but if you are not told then nothing CAN BE DONE ABOUT!!!
The staff were as welcoming as always and you feel at ease.
The only two small issues where one being that the evenings entertainment went on to long at such a high volume, which meant i could everything clearly without even being in the basement. The other one was that they toilet is located in the worst possible place, it needs turning 90 degrees so that it can be used in comfort.
