Get away to the mountains but be close to town. Enjoy the cool air in the morning, soak in our new hot tub, the quiet seclusion, deer, bird watching, in a private setting. All of this and only 10 minutes from downtown Blairsville. 5 minutes from tubing. 20 minutes from mountain climbing and waterfalls everything you'd want to do in the mountains can be down here. The Appalachian trail goes right through Blairsville and Blood mountain. Great shopping and a pickers barn that is huge.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay for our anniversary. Spent most of our time at the house on the back deck enjoying the beautiful view! The hot tub was great and we saw a deer, chipmunks, and, most of all, enjoyed the hummingbirds! The drive up the mountain was not too bad, even at night, just take it slow especially around the turns. I think we only passed a car in the road two times within a week. Very private and we would definitely stay here again! Overall great stay!

Great little place.

The view is great. Loved the staying there. The place is small. It really isn't a place for 4 adults. It's more about 2 adults and 2 kids. 4 adults is tight. The second bed is a trundle with a bathroom off the living room. We enjoyed it.

Hidden Gem

Upon arrival It was dark and hard to understand the directions but we finally were able to circle around the right way and end up on the drive. After that It was a breeze. The road to the cabin is a bit tedious but nothing a car can’t handle. The views are breathtaking and we saw a few deer in the back yard multiple days while we were there. The hot tub was amazing and just the best quiet place but close to town. We went to Helen 2 out of the 6 days we were there and visited in town Blairsville. There’s so many wineries and breweries as well as the distillery for tastings and a bunch of mom and pop restaurants. I highly recommend this cabin and its location.

Fall Vacation

The location of the cabin was central to all the towns, waterfalls, and hiking trails that we wanted to visit. The view from the cabin was AMAZING! Apple picking season in this area is a fun fall activity to do with your family! We were blessed to have this lovely cabin to stay in to make memories with our family.

Great view!

John’s cabin was just as described and the view was beautiful. The cabin was clean and well stocked and we appreciated all the personal touches. The deck runs the length of the home and provides plenty of room for gathering with others or just enjoying the view. Parking is ample as well and the gravel is great for keeping dirt to a minimum.

Beautiful view

Wildlife everywhere deer everyday. Drive to cabin is a little crazy. Lawn could have been mowed, walking the dog was nuts I had to pick tick off me because grass was to long but was a very relaxing time and beautiful sunrise for the bed room window.

Great getaway

A great place for a getaway! Incredible view of the night sky each night. Plenty of deer to be spotted at first light and towards mid day. Don’t think there wasn’t a day we didn’t see at least a couple doe. Excellent location, to rest and relax but close enough to town to go explore. Perfectly situated to take a day trip to Blue Ridge or Helen or even Dahlonega.

Perfect Private Getaway With Amazing View!

Well maintained property with lots of thoughtful touches. The kitchen has spices, condiments and all the things you need. The bathroom has a hair dryer, shampoo and body wash if you forget yours. I had no problem getting to the property because I read the directions that the property manager provided. Most of the road is paved until the very end. In the past, I have had some really hard driving conditions to get to a decent view. I really enjoyed the location, it’s less than a mile from my favorite barbecue place.(Jim’s Smokin’ Que) and isn’t far from a lot of apple orchards and waterfalls. Any questions I had were answered immediately by the owner. John was very helpful and I would stay there again!!
