Springhill is located in an acre of land which was originally the grounds of Woolland House where sculptor Dame Elizabeth Frink lived and had her art studios. Built in the 1990s for Dame Elizabeth Frink's Mother, Springhill is a spacious bungalow set in part walled gardens and grounds, with all of the rooms having views over the garden. Sitting at the foot of Bulbarrow Hill, which is the second highest in Dorset standing at a height of 274 metres, the views from the summit are exceptional and stretch into Somerset, Wiltshire and Devon.
The light-filled accommodation includes a sitting room with open fire and french doors; a generous dining room; a well-equipped kitchen and breakfast area; and two utility rooms. There are two bedrooms, the first with a super-king size bed, a cinema projector and screen, and an en-suite shower room with bath. The second bedroom has a zip and link super-king size bed which can be configured to two single beds upon request, and enjoys its own en-suite shower room. A family cloakroom, and large hallway with door to the south facing garden terrace completes the accommodation.
The village of Woolland has numerous other quaint villages within a walk or short car journey, including Ibberton, Okeford Fitzpaine, Milton Abbas and Ansty, and the towns of Sturminster Newton, Dorchester and Blandford are all within easy reach. The famous Jurassic Coast is a pleasant 40 minute drive away through glorious countryside.
