Apartment 'Altes Pfarrhaus - Durchblick' with Private Garden and Wi-Fi
Listed old rectory with large garden next to church ruins converted into two spacious vacation maisonette apartments for connoisseurs.
The half-timbered house was converted into two vacation maisonettes in 2016, separated by a spacious hallway. It is possible to rent a single maisonette apartment or the entire house.

The apartment is characterized by interesting views through the open half-timbered walls of the living rooms and by the south-facing view of the garden and church ruins. A workbench converted into a cooking island is the eye-catcher of the eat-in kitchen on the ground floor (44m²). Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom and a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. A steel staircase leads to the bright living room on the upper floor (30m²), where there is a seating area around a beautiful Persian chess table and a TV area with a high-quality sofa bed (+2 persons) and wicker chairs. There are two adjoining twin bedrooms. Modern art, genuine carpets, old and new furniture complement each other. The garden is furnished with French bistro furniture (outside socket available).
We are architects and fell in love with this historic building next to the church ruins when we discovered the old vicarage on an excursion. We spent over a year renovating it and converting it into vacation apartments. In addition to locally commissioned craftsmen, we also did a lot of work ourselves. We really enjoy the old vicarage itself: the special atmosphere next to the ruins with kestrels, the quiet garden, the good neighborhood in the village. We hope you like it as much as we do.

Ein liebevoll restauriertes Kleinod mit vielen tollen Details und einem schönen Garten direkt neben einer alten Kirche. Die Größe der Wohnung war ideal für 6 Personen. Die Küche war voll ausgestattet, mit viel Geschirr und modernen Geräten. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern und der Küsterin war genauso toll wie die Lage. Eine absolute Empfehlung!
Sehr ruhige Lage. Von der Unterkunft können viele touristische Ziele erreicht werden.

Pros: Wir hatten uns zu Pfingsten mit unseren erwachsenen Kindern dort getroffen und ein paar schöne entspannte und gemütliche Tage verbracht. Das Haus ist top renoviert und gemütlich eingerichtet.Ein Mix aus alt und modern. Es gibt viel Platz, Küche und Esszimmer sind sehr groß. Dusche und Toilette sind komplett neu gemacht, alles mit Heizung und Warmwasser nach neustem Standard. Die Küche ist vollkommen ausgestattet, an einem Tag haben wir da richtig schön gekocht und es uns im Esszimmer gemütlich gemacht.
Die Nähe zur Kirchenruine nebenan hat was, am Pfingstsonntag konnten wir dort im Freien (Kirche ohne Dach) sogar einen Gottesdienst besuchen.
Der Garten dazwischen ist toll, leider war das Wetter bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht so, dass wir uns da länger hätten aufhalten können. Da kann man im Sommer sicher toll grillen.
Leider gibt es in der Ortschaft nix, kein Geschäft, keinen Bäcker. Das sollte man wissen, denn die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist in Blankenburg, so ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto zu fahren. Wir hatten entsprechend eingekauft und konnten gut damit leben. Dafür ist es hier absolut ruhig und man schläft wie ein Murmeltier.
Die Schlüsselübergabe klappte prima, obwohl wir berufsbedingt erst um 21.30 Uhr ankamen.
Gaststätten gibt es genug in der Umgebung, immer so 5-10 Minuten zu fahren. Ansonsten liegt der Ort sehr zentral um alle Highlights des Harzes in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen. Wir werden sicher noch mal hin kommen.

Pros: Dieses Haus - bzw sein Ausbau - hat nichts mit dem etwas verstaubten Ruf von Harz-Unterkünften zu tun!
Super gelungene Mischung aus alt und modern, urgemütlich - und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ich könnte problemlos bei schlechtem Wetter drinnen bleiben und die Wohnung geniessen....aber man kann aber auch direkt zu Fuss loswandern!
Am praktischsten ist es, schon vorher was für die Tage einzukaufen, zumindest wenn man "im Wald" bleiben will. Bei Ausflügen nach Quedlingburg (schön!!) oder Blankenburg kann man das natürlich auch dann machen. Bestens geeignet für ruhige Tage, zum entspannen und für viele Leute (in beiden Wohnungen!). Es war richtig nett, ich komme wieder.
