In the Heart of the Vines
Nestled amongst a small operational vineyard just 7 minutes from town in the lower Wairau region lies this unique 2 bedroom home. What makes this property unique is the English barn style look and quality of the build, built by your host. Located near by is the local rowing club with a small boat ramp convenient for water skiing, jet skiing and kayaking. The beautiful town of Picton is a 25 minute drive away, the gateway to the picturesque Marlborough Sounds. Explore the local vineyards, restaurants, rivers, fishing and hunting.
Lovely location.Comfortable accomodation. No heating in living area, but provided when we asked.Kitchen really only set up for breakfast and snacks. No sink or water in it only in bathroom. This was problematic when preparing a meal.A cook top and air fryer type oven not a proper stove. Small fridge. It was very convenient for the vineyards. Most people would find the cooking arrangements ok, but we like to cook a meal
Enjoyed our stay here, beautiful views and just a few minutes from town. Peaceful and perfect if you are looking for an âoff the beaten pathâ setting.
The property is okay but has some odd features such as the kitchen sink being in the bathroom, noisy latches instead of handles on the doors and inadequate lighting. When we stayed the main bedroom door was very squeaky but we left a note for the owners so hopefully the hinges have now been oiled.
This was our home base for 4 days of exploring the area. Wine tour picked us up at your driveway and dropped off on Jones road. We made a journey to KaikĆura trekked around at the seal colony with a stop at a great food truck. Ended with a Picton tour, great.
The stay in this house was very nice. Itâs very peaceful in the vineyards. We were comfortable here. We enjoyed hiking around the area and doing a wine/bike tour with an added bike trip on Northbank Road.
Beautiful property with super comfortable beds, large living space and outdoor patio with stunning views of the vineyards.Very short drive to the wineries, which are each unique and beautiful, with incredible wines.Sandra was very good with providing local knowledge, thank you!We highly recommend a stay here
We had such a lovely stay here! It was spacious, cleanly, and in a great location! Couldnât have asked for a better home base while exploring the Marlborough region.
Lovely home, immaculate with many amenities and wonderful quiet, scenic location. Kitchen a bit quirky with sink in the attached bathroom but you get used to it, and we cooked our meals and did just fine with the arrangement.Lovely, generous hosts.
Lovely location, tucked away in Grovetown. Owners house is on the same site about 50 metres away. Very tidy and in excellent condition. Bach is not the building in the photo, but a part of the bottom floor - doesn't have a kitchen as such - just bench. So cooking is plug in electic hob and bench oven. No water in kitchen, so food, washing is all to be done in thebasin in bathroom next to the toilet - which is a bit of a pain if people are in the bathroom.
Very comfortable and convenient. Country home feeling.Of course car needed as it is located in the heart of the vines, 10 minutes from Blenheim town center.A great location both to relax on the spot and/or to tour the whole Marlborough region ( vineyards/wine cellar doors, st Arnaud mountains, Sounds-Queen Charlotte- Picton- , white beach etc ). Hosts very welcoming and very helpfull.
Great place to stay thank you with great amenities. Awesome outdoor area with view of vineyard. Enjoyed having BBQ and lazy summer evening as sun went down.
Wonderful location on a vineyard and in amongst a number of nearby vineyards. The property itself is spacious and all the amenities are of a high quality. Comfortable living with amazing views each morning and evening. Just 10 minutes from Blenheim town and 20 minutes from Renwick. Overall highly recommended
Lovely accommodation nestled in the vineyards. Very peaceful and we had a wonderful stay. The accommodation had everything that you need and very comfortable.
Very nice and clean accommodation, situated away from the town centre. Relaxing setting amongst the vines. Most necessities were there and a heater would have been perfect in the lounge area as the weather got a bit cooler in the evenings. No issues with check-in/out process and owners were responsive and accommodating. Overall, a great weekend enjoying what the region had to offer.
Spacious house, completely separate from the owners. Beautiful views of vineyard. We made use of the kitchen and laundry and everything worked great. When we booked, we asked about the possibility of arranging bikes but the owner never responded. When we checked in, they were confused about our arrival date (they thought we were arriving the following day) but it didn't actually matter since the place was entirely clean and ready (luckily).
Comfortable, well-appointed space. Enjoyed a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc on the sunny patio. Although about 10 minutes from town, our tour operator, Discovery Wine Tours came out to pick us up and drop us off.
Absolutely incredible location right on a vineyard. Really enjoyed the house, it was super peaceful and had everything youâd need for a few days in the wine country. Loved it, thank you David. David was also super helpful for us.
Such a beautiful place. This home has everything you might need and is really beautiful, calming, and just what we needed at the end of our New Zealand adventure.
We opted for a bit of quite out of town and weren't dissapointed. It was a lovely peaceful stay even if only for a couple of nights. Thanks to our hosts for helping out when we couldn't figure out the cook top.
