High on a mountain just eight miles to the restaurants and shopping of downtown Blue Ridge, the cabin overlooks the Toccoa River, a popular destination for rafting and tubing. The Blue Ridge Railway passes through the valley below, and you can hear the train's whistle as you slow down, unwind, and shed the stresses of daily life at this fabulous retreat.
Constructed of fine woods, live edge siding and natural stone in a contemporary rustic style, the professionally decorated cabin is both architecturally stunning and homey, with a warm, welcoming ambiance that will make you feel instantly at ease. On the main level, the beautifully furnished living area is dominated by a soaring 25-foot wall of windows overlooking the deck and a stone gas fireplace stretching to the ceiling. The 65â ultra-high definition TV is equipped with Blu-ray and DVD player and soundbar. For lovers of retro tech, there's a Victrola replica turntable in the loft above, with a vinyl collection to go with it.
Adjacent the living room, the open kitchen is a cook's dream, with solid wood cabinets, granite countertops, stainless KitchenAid appliances including a gas cooktop and oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, an icemaker, mixer, blender, drip coffeemaker, crockpot, toaster and all cookware and serving implements you need. There's room for six at the dining table plus four at the breakfast bar. Or you can fire up the gas grill and dine outside as you take in the view from the deck, enjoying a spectacular sunset. You'll also find plenty of comfortable seating areas, two stone wood-burning fireplaces, a 65â TV, a seven-seat hot tub, and a fire pit to gather around.
For indoor fun, head downstairs to play billiards, cards, board games, cornhole or watch sports or movies on the 55â TV in the game room. It's outfitted with a stone gas fireplace, wet bar with wine fridge and icemaker, and a whimsical rug and pub sign, adding to the playful atmosphere.
At bedtime, you'll slumber in comfort in one of three master suites, one per level, that feature king beds, luxurious bedding, large walk-in closets, 43â TVs and deck access. The main level bedroom has a fireplace and a spa-like private bath with garden tub, shower, double showerheads and seat. All three en suite baths have granite counters, vessel sinks, toilets and showers. A tankless water system provides hot water instantly to the cabin's five bathrooms, which include two powder rooms. Queen sleeper sofas in the loft and game room bring the sleeping accommodations to ten.
Among the other notable features and amenities at Falcon's Lair are WiFi, cable TV, a laundry room, ceiling fans throughout, and a dog-friendly policy. Very spacious cabin, great location and very beautiful. Saw a few bugs, and the back deck was covered with carpenter bees and carpenter dust. There were a few hairs on the pillows- but overall pretty clean. However- it was an overall great and relaxing stay!
This home is beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the rocking chairs, playing pool, and relaxing in the jacuzzi. Convenient location and just a quick drive to Mercier Farms, downtown Blue Ridge, ziplining, restaurants, and shops. We had a great time and are looking forward to going back again.
The hosts were amazing. The place was gorgeous. We've stayed at many places in Blue Ridge & this one was the best layout for the 4 of us plus 2 dogs. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Roaches, Asian Ladybugs, and WaspsâThis Cabin Was a NightmareThe property itself is beautiful, but due to a clear lack of preventive pest control, our stay quickly turned into a creepy-crawly nightmare. On day one, we noticed a few cockroaches and tried to dismiss it, hoping it wouldnât get worse. By that evening, the number had noticeably increased. We contacted our host, who promptly sent out a property manager to place bait traps. Unfortunately, bait traps do not eliminate an active roach infestation overnight. The next evening was when things became unbearable. While sitting in the living room watching TV, I looked up to see roaches crawling along the fireplace, the ceiling, the wallsâeverywhere I looked. I immediately reported the issue and was told the next day that we would be relocated to another cabin.Sadly, because it was Christmas, the cabin we were moved to was a fraction of the size, still expensive, and missing nearly all of the amenities we booked this trip for.I could have chalked this up to an oversight or a one-off issue. However, after multiple attempts to obtain a full refund from Escape to Blue Ridge for a roach-infested stay, they have refused even to refund the cleaning fee for the original cabin. To the owner: Your cabin is gorgeous, but your property manager is failing you and your guests. Their inability to deliver a basic, hospitality-focused experience is costing you. They should be replaced.
I'd say the pictures online are a bit misleading. First about half of the view shown online is now completely obstructed by trees that have grown quite a bit since these pictures were taken (in the winter months you'll get the full view). The part of the mountain range you can see is beautiful. They have a carpenter bee issue (apparently common for this area) with saw dust and wood chips all over the outside sitting areas. The property manager did send people over to clean up the outside areas when we arrived and we spent sometime on the inside cleaning dust. The furniture (both in and out) has "renter fatigue" with most having stains and very apparent wear and tear. The cushions outside simply need to be replaced and a lot of the furniture & rugs inside should be either professionally cleaned or replaced. We loved being able to bring our dog BUT it was clear not all follow the rules as we found black dog hair all over the beds (comforters and sheets) and had to wash them before using. The EV car charger is a Tesla charger. If you don't have a Tesla or an adaptor to fit your car make sure you bring one.On the positive side the location of the home was convenient to explore both GA and TN. The area is beautiful with a lot to do and keep you busy. They are clearly focused on attracting those that enjoy wine as we found several wineries where the views were beautiful and the wine was good. All in all we'd rate the place a 5 out of 10 and the area a 9 out of 10.
I came to Blue Ridge with three of my army buddies and we stayed at Falconâs for the long weekend. Location is close to town yet far enough away to get some good relaxing time in with my buddies. Very comfortable stay. Highly recommended.
The cabin is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay! There are few small things that should be added to make the stay more enjoyable such as a full length mirror. Adding one in the living space in the main floor is sufficient. The soaps needed a dish or tray. It was a little difficult to use while it was being supported by the packet. The mats under the bed are slippery. We had to be very careful getting on the bed to not fall. The bathroom sinks, mirrors and the beds were high and a challenge to climb for my short stature. Proving a small stool for each room would go a long way for those of us who are vertically challenged.
This was a girls trip that we will never forget! The property was beautiful and rooms and bathrooms were very clean! The only issue we had was with the outside space where we spent a lot of time. It didnât look to be clean due to carpenter bee dust so we had to clean up before the area could be used. Once it was cleaned and the sun went down it was great!
There is so much that happened that is so ridiculous that I donât even wanna waste my time telling you because thereâs nothing youâll do anyway. I want my money back for one of the nights. The information on the website for the house details the address is not correct and I spent over two hours trying to find the place. the communication was so ridiculous. You piece meal out everything in text email and on the app and everything was different or there was too many that it was too hard to understand all the stuff you guys sent in all the different places. The other thing is in the app when you click directions it sends you to the wrong address!!!!! I called a half dozen times nobody could help me. I literally drove around in circles. My dinner was ruined. My friends who were supposed to be near Our house ended up going home because they couldnât figure it out either I want my money back for Friday night. I almost checked into a Hampton Inn. I pulled into the parking lot. That is how ridiculous the whole thing was. I was literally sobbing on the side of the road because I was exhausted my mom just died and I have so many things going on. I wanted one night to myself with a nice dinner(and a bottle of wine and you ruined it. I want my money back for Friday or whole trip. For how awful and. experience was. Do better . And someone contact me before I start putting public reviews on here. AND FIX ADDRESS!! there is absolutely no way that I am the first person thon here.
This is one of the best properties in the area. Nighttime views across the valley are rivaled only by the views at daybreak. The property itself is beautiful with high quality furnishings and thoughtful extras to make the stay more pleasant. Needed to be somewhere other than home for a couple of days, and this spot was perfect.
We loved the house. It was absolutely beautiful and the view was outstanding. One thing on the listing that was incorrect and very misleading is that it noted several places in downtown Blue Ridge were 3 to 5 minutes walking distance. The house is probably about 7 miles from downtown Blue Ridge.
Very nice and clean. Had everything we needed. In the write up it stated it was a bit closer to city center. But the location was still fairly decent. WiFi didn't work, but we were there to get away, so it wasn't all that bad. There were quite a few wasps in the home. Not sure where they were coming from. One stung our dog.
We really enjoyed it.
