The home was beautiful, spacious, quiet, and peaceful, and it served its purpose well for celebrating my mom’s 74th birthday. Overall, we enjoyed the setting. That said, there were several issues that affected our stay.Some amenities appeared to need more consistent upkeep. Several pots and pans were dirty, and the only baking pan available had old food residue and significant rust. The toilet paper, paper towels, and soap were very low quality, and there was not enough toilet paper provided. The fireplaces stopped working halfway through our stay. The living room carpet was noticeably dirty. The shower I used was unclean, and the shower light did not work.Checkout was at 10:00 a.m. with a long list of cleaning requirements. Traveling with my disabled mother made it difficult to complete extensive cleaning and exit on time. Many of the requested tasks seemed like items that would typically be covered by a cleaning fee.I debated whether to share this feedback, as the hosts were kind and responsive. My intent is constructive so here are some recommendations: periodic deep cleanings, professional cleaning after every stay, follow-up inspections, and replacing worn or low-quality items, especially considering the price point. I hope this feedback is helpful and shared in goodwill.
