Absolutely LOVED staying here. The staff was super friendly & helpful even before we arrived. The grounds was peaceful. The beds were super comfortable. Perfect for families. We look forward to staying here again.
This was a nice little spot to rest at after a few long days on the road. Their customer service was excellent and they called before I checked in to let me know their procedure. Upon check in, the lady (I didnât catch her name) gave us a free upgrade to a room with a king bed. It was quiet and peaceful - just what we needed.
This is a place to use for your adventures outside! I donât know what the rest of the rooms or conditions are but our room was a little dank and musty. It was good sized and price well. It sat below other rooms with lifeless insulation. We had people tramping back and forth both nights really loudly. Chris and Mike were excellent hosts. I would stay again. I warn people only because they hold high expectations, this is not a Hilton. I works for rest and recharging.
Due to covid-19, we didn't see much and the restaurant wasn't open, but we stayed in the bunkhouse and had the place to ourselves. Unfortunately, there is some road noise, so bring your earplugs. We just needed a place to stay after a day of hiking and before another day of hiking.
I love the outdoors, exploring the forest from sun up to sun down, but am at the point in my life I need to sleep in a bed and have indoor plumbing every night. So camping is not something I want to do. Finding this place was a blessing, I booked the french country cabin for my son and I for a little kayaking get away to celebrate his birthday. Advertised as cabins, but they are definitely houses, cute, cozy and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and it was centrally located that we able to spend a whole day kayaking on clear lake, as well as see Sahalie, koosah and Upper/lower proxy falls, explore some cool lava fields, as well as a quick trip into springfield to check out the simpsons art.
Front desk at check in was very helpful, recommended proxy falls to us which I wouldnt of known about otherwise and am super grateful they did, it was an amazing hike.
This trip was only my son and I, but I am fully planning to return again with my whole family as soon as possible because there. Was just so much more we didnt get to see.
Just waking up to coffee in the morning looking at the beautiful site of nature. Plus the smell of pine once your outside its perfect. Fresh air :) Bunk rooms were great and had plenty of space. Staff was definatley kind to talk to and answered all my questions.
This was an amazing little gem of a place. The cottage a prime spot to explore in the woods and just relax in a space of elemental bliss. Blue Pool, Terwilliger and Belknap Hot Springs all close by. The beds, room sizes, cleanliness, parking, backyard fire pit, amenities, ie. local Indigo Cafe and Medicine/CBD shop, Market, park, river walk and space was all very comfortable and welcoming within block radius.
Great house, only problem is that the hotvwater in the shower did not stay hot. It was hot long enough to get the shampoo in your hair then went to ice cold. Then it went back to hot by the time you got the shampoo out and you started soaping up and washing then went to cold again.
The "cabin" was very spacious and the staff at check in were great. The pellet stove in the cabin didn't work and it took several hours to warm up using the electric heat. The cable only worked the first night of ourcsty abd when we called we weren't really giver a solution. It came back on just before we left. The sheets has various crumbs and debris on them. They were low quality sheets so the corners kept coming off the bed. I'm a little grossed out touching bare mattress with no mattress cover when I was trying to sleep. The decor and furnishing could use some updating. It's not that it was "rustic". I love a rustic cabin. It was more like 1970s/80s decor that never got an update.
