The Mokee Motel (Room 1)

Welcome to Room 1 at the Mokee! The Mokee is a solar powered motel with amenities of a vacation rental. We live nearby but not on site, so the house is all yours plus your private room!


From the Mokee you can walk to several restaurants like the Smokehouse, Dukes and Comb Ridge, we also have a really nice laundromat just across the street and East a couple of blocks as well as KC market that has gas, pizza and a great convenience store. At the East end of town there is two rocks cafe (don't miss the blue corn pancakes) as well as Cow Canyon Coffee and the deli at the Dwellings.

Our property is nearly fully powered by the sun thanks to our solar system that spans the entire East side of the roof. We invite you to come stay with us as your basecamp to explore one of the most amazing places in the world.

Staying with us means you have one of our 7 private rooms which has an ensuite bath and each guest also has access to the house which includes full kitchen, dining area, living area with 65 inch flat screen, library, extra bathroom and shower + tons of space to plop down and work - if you must, read a book, do a puzzle or play a tabletop game. Outside we have lots of good seating options to soak up the views (we are surrounded by red rocks) and sun here in Beautiful Bluff. Directly across the street is Bluff sculpture park and there are miles of trails you can walk right from the Mokee.

Quiet Hours: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Keep voices and electronics at a whisper. Use the provided white noise machine for a better night's rest.

Community Kitchen & BBQ: Clean all dishes, counters, and the grill immediately after use. Please keep the noise down in the kitchen, it shares a wall with a guest space. Dispose of trash in the dumpster near the pavilion. Keep noise low near guest rooms.

No Smoking/Vaping: The entire property is smoke-free. Please smoke off-site.

Pets: Leashed at all times. Do not leave pets unattended in rooms or allow them on furniture.
