The rooms were big, spacious and clean. Breakfast was a good and basic. I enjoyed the banana pancakes. But I found the female owner wasn’t very friendly unless you booked tours with her. We hired bikes and grabs to get to the caves and points of interest. We didn’t join any tours, she stopped talking to us. The male owner was very pleasant and was lovely to deal with.

The landlady was super nice helped us a lot for getting around town and suggestions on what to do. The property is absolutely gorgeous! Only downside is we reneged a motorbike but had no gas in it so we had to go to the station to buy some and it wasn’t included in the price. Other than that perfect

The property is in poor condition compared to the pictures. Generator running in the hallway. We had a balcony room and windows to not lock securely. Just haft to push on the window and it the lock pops off. Front desk lady was pushy and followed me out onto the street trying to sell me on tours and stay another night.

Fine Backpacker Village and hotel

A backpacker village- close to a wonderful national park with World Class Caves. Atmosphere is perfect for the young and young at heart. the hotel was across the street from Bamboo Cafe- perfect for the area- and hotel was a great bargain- not five star- but appropriate for the area.

Everything you want and more

This has got the be the best place we’ve stayed at in Vietnam. For around $10 USD ($5 each) this centrally located hotel has free breakfast, the softest bed in Vietnam, great wifi, a smart TV (Netflix), what seemed like unlimited hot water for a decent shower, room with a balcony and extremely friendly staff with great English. 10/10 would recommend!

The rooms can be very different!

We had to wait upon arriving at 4pm for almost 20 minutes for the lady who works the front desk to wake up. Her mood after being woken up was, understandably, not pleasant. Before we were even shown to the room, we were being touted tours. The first room we were given, which was with the double bed, was on the busy street. The windows did not open and the bathroom was very tiny. The room did not resemble the pictures on this site at all. There were issues with the electricity as well. We requested to be moved in to a different room which ended up being much much better and included the mountain view as advertised. One could actually fit in the bathroom to shower in the second room as well. Every time we left the hotel she asked us where we were going and wanted to sell us something. This was very annoying. Do not book tours to Phong Nha cave, Son Tien, the Dark cave or Paradise cave as these can easily be done on your own. We did rent a moto to go to Paradise cave from the hotel at a very good price and the hotel assisted us in flagging down the local bus when we were ready to leave town.

Decent hotel, much better hotels for the same cost

The pictures/ information on Expedia and in the hotels advertising is far from what you actually get. Old box TV, terrible view, Hard beds, and terrible wifi. The rooms shower was broken so we had to use another rooms down the hall which was filthy. The staff was somewhat helpful but on multiple occasions we walked in on them screaming at each other. Would not recommend. Far better places for the same price.

Hotellet kändes mindre som ett hotell och mer som någons hem, där de skrek till varandra mellan våningarna och barnen sprang och lekte. Ägarinnan var hjälpsam och kunnig vad gäller bokningar av kajaktur eller att gå in i grottor samt buss. Jag fick även hjälp med att tvätta kläderna på hotellet. Nivån på hotellet är låg. Det är för den typ av person som gillar att campa och att promenera i djungeln snarare än för finsmakaren. Ibland fanns varmt vatten. Duschen var en del av toaletten såtillvida att man behövde stänga dörren för att kunna nyttja den, dvs ett MYCKET LITET badrum. Alla rum hade samma storlek på badrum. Skicket var sådär, och städningen likaså. Men för att vara ärlig kändes alla hotell som om de var likadana. Phong Nha är inte en metropol och har heller inte byggnader i bästa skick. Det var hög musik från karaoken och alla ljud hördes in i rummet. AC:n funkar bra och kylskåpet likaså. Kassaskåp finns inte. Frukosten var sådär, men det finns restauranger precis bredvid. Samtidigt så är ju priset lågt och man får det man betalar för. Buss dit och därifrån stannar precis vid hotellet. Väldigt smidigt. Det finns några affärer, några massörer och man kan även köpa lite kläder där, om man tex saknar strumpor inför trekkingen.

Bon hôtel

Chambre propre, personnel agréable mais un peu speed, petit déjeuner simple (boisson et œufs ou pancake). Étant arrivé à 4AM, on a pu déposer nos backpack jusqu'à la récupération de notre chambre! On nous a même offert une boisson lorsque nous attendions notre bus du soir pour repartir! C'est une bonne adresse avec un bon rapport qualité/prix

We stayed here for few days after finisshing our booking, Our room was clean and comfortable with hot water, efficient air conditioning (with a quiet-nighttime mode), a small balcony with the plants along. there are several eateries and bars within 50m, including a great Indian Restaurant which we used a lot. hotel staff were helped us alot( booking daily tour and buses to hue...ect) We thought that Thienthanh hotel represents great value for money and will most certainly come here again as our first choice in future.

Geeignetes Hotel für Gäste ohne Ansprüche

Trotz unserer Anreise um fünf Uhr morgens konnten wir problemlos direkt einchecken, was aus unserer Sicht äußerst positiv war. Die Bushaltestelle des Open Tour Bus befindet sich direkt gegenüber. Hotel geignet für einen Kurzaufenthalt (Max. 2 Nächte). Unser Zimmer war abgewohnt und zudem sehr feucht. Für Gäste ohne Ansprüche in Ordnung. Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend, hilft bei allen Fragen.
