Convenient to Penn State and in a great neighborhood. My daughter stayed here for a few days prior to moving in to her apartment and said it was very cozy and nice.
The cozy carriage house is smack in the center of Boalsburg. A perfect place to be on memorial day weekend--with the parade, festival, and the carnival. Everything was clean and tidy.
We stayed 2 nights while visiting our daughter at Penn State Univ., which was less than a 15 min. drive away. The town looked cute but we weren't there during the day (as we were on campus). The room is lovely - clean, comfortable, quiet. The host was very helpful -- we arrived quite late and she left the light on outside our room so we could find it. Also, keyless entry was very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The carriage house room was perfect and exactly as advertised. The property manager was excellent and provided timely and pertinent information. Definitely would stay there again!
Needed a base to stay at while exploring SW Pa mountains by motorcycle. Perfect accommodations for us. Property was beautiful and very well maintained. Boalsburg is a small but very charming town. We easily walked to Duffy's Tavern, Boal City Brewing, The Bar and Angelo's Pizzeria. Originally thought of staying in Bellefonte but really glad we didn't after making a visit there. Waterfront walkway and Talleyrand Park are really great but downtown area up on the hill has many opportunities to improve. Would definitely revisit Boalsburg and Springfield House Inn
Room was clean and relaxing. I love the colors in the room. Great outdoor area with an outdoor fireplace, grill and seating. Really enjoyed the swing on the front porch. Walked across the street and enjoyed dinner at Duffys Tavern. There is also a really neat boutique and bike store within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!
Gorgeous old house right in town. Beautiful property and rooms. Kudos to the hostess/innkeeper for flexibility/pivoting after a check-in snafu. Would recommend.
For two of us just needing a clean, comfortable room for an overnight stay this was perfect. The location was easily within walking distance of everything, and the room was small but met our needs. The mattress was not quite the best, but nothing that would make me not want to stay here again. Coffee was a great touch in the morning.
Lovely little cottage for a couple's quick getaway. College scene nearby, so some restaurants open late, which is nice. Finding the right door for the cottage at night and after a long drive was a little confusing, but easy to get in once we found the right one (the building to the right). Clean, quaint, and very quiet!
When I made the reservation, I liked the look of the Inn, so I wanted to stay there. My first time in town, and I loved it. We didn't get to sit on the porch swing and watch the world go by, but that's on our "to-do" list the next time we stay.
