Less than 5 miles from this home is the quaint town of Todd, which is home to the Todd General Store and RiverGirl Fishing Company, an outfitter for fishing, bicycling, tubing, and kayaking the New River. The Todd General Store offers everything from hand-crafted local art to freshly baked goods, and weekly live music on the front porch. Nine miles away is the town of Boone, with delicious restaurants, shopping, Appalachian State University, and much more. Local attractions such as Appalachian Ski Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park, High Gravity Adventure Zip Line and Aerial Park, and Doc's Rocks Gem Mining are all within 15 miles.
