Welcome to Porchside – A Classic Coastal Retreat in Boothbay Harbor

Tucked in the heart of Boothbay Harbor, Porchside is a charming, newly updated New England home that blends the convenience of in-town living with the privacy of a peaceful, tucked-away setting. Just steps from the harbor’s restaurants, shops, and scenic waterfront, it’s the perfect home base for your mid-coast Maine getaway.

The home features a spacious covered porch and a second-floor deck—ideal for morning coffee, catching ocean breezes, or stargazing at night. In the backyard, an inviting patio with a firepit and string lights sets the scene for cozy evenings, while the gas grill makes it easy to enjoy fresh local seafood or a relaxed family cookout.

Inside, a bright, coastal-inspired layout welcomes you. Enter through the newly added mudroom, complete with ample hooks and cubbies to keep gear organized. The remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range and generous breakfast bar and opens to a dining room with a large table perfect for meals, puzzles, and card games. The sunny living room offers comfortable seating and a smart TV (fireplace is decorative only). A 3/4 bathroom with a shower is located on the main floor, and a full-size washer and dryer are available in the basement.

Upstairs are four inviting bedrooms—three with queen beds and one with bunk beds—along with a full bathroom with a tub/shower. The second-floor deck is accessed from a hallway that doubles as a small workspace.

Exactly what we needed!

We took a a four day vacation and stayed at the Porchside in Boothbay Harbor and had a great time. The home is very clean and the beds were so comfy. It was so nice to be in the Harbor and be close to everything. Communication with the manager/owner was so easy with very quick response. Not one negative thing about our stay.

Porchside Perfection

We came to Maine for a family wedding and stayed at Porchside. We had 6 adults and 2 toddlers and this home was so accommodating for everyone in our party. The home is so beautiful with its coastal charm and had everything we needed to entertain 2 toddlers during the rainy days. The owner was so easy to communicate with, he answered all questions near immediately during our stay.

A great weekend away for gardens aglow

This house was perfect for our weekend getaway with friends to see the botanical gardens lights aglow. Rooms were spacious and the set up was perfect for a gathering of a few couples and a baby. The living room was super cozy and great for socializing. We loved the little holiday decorations as well. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Boothbay gem with personality

Our stay here was fabulous from start to finish. The house is in a great location - just a few steps from the main part of town. We loved our morning jogs straight from the house, through downtown, and across the pedestrian bridge. House has personality, and is tastefully decorated. Plenty of outdoor space, and plenty of outdoor seating. Highly recommend this place!

End of summer

Had a great end of summer experience with tropical storm Lee. Although many stores and restaurants closed on that Saturday on the store having this house was ideal. It was clean , spacious , had comforts of a home that we like that the storm didn’t bother us. The porch was a great asset to the property , The property manager, Matt was great and communicated with us on how we are doing or have any questions . We loved the location as it was close to everything in Booth Bay Harbor . Looking forward to returning in the future

Top Notch

Our stay at Porchside was great! The home was beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean, and quality throughout. It had most of what we needed as well as thing’s unexpected such as a portable highchair, laundry detergent, and children’s toys. It rained most of our visit, so when the sun came out on checkout day, we were kindly allowed to keep our car parked in the driveway beyond checkout to enjoy a walk along the footbridge and around the town. We would suggest a subfloor be installed between the main level and basement to decrease the minor smell of basement. The dehumidifiers were appreciated with the rainfall experienced. We would stay here again!

Perfect Boothbay Vacation House for Friends & Family

Beautiful home that sits on a hill overlooking the harbor. Easy walk to town, 2 decks, incredibly well appointed and ready for relaxing, cooking, reading, napping...the decks catch the harbor breezes, there is ample off street parking, the kitchen has all the things needed for lots of cooking, the beds are comfortable and we enjoyed every minute!
