Come stay in this magnificent air-conditioned apartment located on Place Saint-Michel, in the heart of the historic center of Bordeaux!
Take advantage of the terrace with a view of the Saint-Michel arrow to relax, have breakfast or have a glass of wine. A large office is also at your disposal.
Ideal location for exploring the city thanks to the proximity of transport (tram), quays, shops, restaurants, markets and flea markets.
We just spent the last three weeks in this beautiful, vibrant, and walkable part of Bordeaux. We loved the apartment. In addition to the bedroom, living room, and kitchen, there is a room set up as an office. Great space. But the location is the amazing thing. Awesome restaurants and one of the best boulangeries in Bordeaux is 1/2 block away. Our host was great, the washer worked fine. We had a wonderful stay.
Fantastic apartment in a really buzzy interesting area - st Michel. The apartment is bigger than it appears in the ad it was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. It was good to be able to have breakfast / coffee/ a glass of wine on the balcony in the sun and watch the world go by. The views from the balcony and front windows are great - the old basilica and the square which always had something interesting happening whilst we were there there was a words and poetry festival a demo passed though and a dance troupe danced by ! Flea market on Sunday was a treat and all the cafes and shops were lively. Itâs a lovely friendly mixed area with Arabic stores loads of second hand vintage and antiques shops and lots of art studios and craft workshops. We were really thrilled to get to know this area of town a bit. Also walking distance to the train station and near to the river and old town. The apartment will definitely be our top choice next time we come to Bordeaux.
Easy to get to by tram. Large well equipped flat. 2 flights of spiral staircase was challenging with suitcases but the apartment was worth it. Balcony lovely for a drink in the sun. Good restaurants on the square outside. We will be back.
The apartment was clean, well-located, and relatively large, and the manager was very responsive to problems and concerns. Nearby are lots of mostly ethnic restaurants, a great boulangerie, and shops for anything you might need. Very Middle Eastern and African vibe. It is close to tram line stops, etc. However, it was not without some problems. Not mentioned in the listing is that it on the second floor (third to Americans), meaning climbing 45 steps up a spiral staircase every time you come back. (No elevator) Second, there were lots of mosquitoes which attacked me with ferocity every night. The only solution is to run the A/C day and night, something we were reluctant to do, especially since the A/C doesn't reach the bedroom, and also because the weather was pleasant during the two weeks in late June that we were there. We ultimately bought a small fan (which we left there) and ran it in the bedroom at night; I think that helped somewhat. Third, you should be aware of the fact that the imposing "Fleche" steeple right outside is being renovated, so there is a huge fence around it and scaffolding completely covers it. I suspect that this project will last years. And fourth, you should know that the "terrace" is really tiny. The small table and two metal tables barely fit on it. Nevertheless, it was a nice spot for morning coffee and afternoon wine. Overall, we were happy with the apartment, in spite of the few inconveniences.
Beautiful apartment looking straight out at the historical church. Lot's of restaurants and the river within walking distance. The apartment itself is well equipped and comfortable. Host was very responsive.
This is a spacious and stylish suite in the heart of the St Michel quarter, right across from the basilica. It's a great place to stay if you enjoy walking around the old city and taking in the riverfront. There are masses of pubs and restaurants within 200m. More importantly (for us) there is a great boulangerie and a terrific fromargerie that are even closer than that. We'd definitely recommend it. The suite is well equipped with AC, a washing machine and good internet.
The possible downside is that it can be noisy, but being on the third floor this wasn't bad most of the time. The bedroom is on the inside, so it is always quiet.
For us, this was close to a five-star rating but the suite needs a bit of TLC for that - a coat of paint, a fully functional cooktop (only 2 out 4 worked for us - not a disaster) and a dangling / non-functional light bulb above the shower that needs to be addressed.
The apartment was just a described & as in the photos⊠the host met us & was wonderful! Perfect location, lots to do locally in the evening, really fun & would highly recommend this place!
Really enjoyed Bordeaux and the other places we visited, lovely apartment, great weather. Shame about the building work being carried out immediately in front of us.
We stayed for 5 nights, it is a 1 bedroom but very spacious. We really enjoyed the balcony to enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The backdrop of St Michael's was beautiful. There is A/C but it is a single until in the living room so doesn't cool the bedroom & weather was unusually hot at 30+ degrees C. Overall a pleasant stay. Location is about 20 + minute walk to center of historic district.
We spent 6 nights and appreciated its proximity to so many of the wonderful sights of Bordeaux. The neighbourhood is very dynamic with lots of fabulous Turkish and North African restaurants. Most places of interest are within walking distance and the tram lines are very close. There are two mid sized Carrefour supermarkets nearby as well as local fruit and vegetable shops.
The apartment is up two flights of stairs and has very well appointed rooms. A good kitchen and bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Wifi was excellent and the smart TV allowed us to watch Netflix.
Although the square in front is very busy and noisy of a day, it was calm and quiet by 10pm.
My only complaint is a lack of printed instructions for the appliances but we managed okay without them.
