This is in the most unsafe place in Salem The day we get there the property owner came cause he arched you threw a camera and demanded $320 more because we had more than 4 people. Which we gave him he wanted a picture of my moms credit card we gave him cash Then that night there was a fight outside a man got beaten up bad Second night our party left but me and 2 children because how unsafe the neighborhood is That night a couple men tried to attempt to break in I called the police they came said the house across the street was shot 17 times and this house should not be allowed to be rented out do to the safety I left that night with my children and called the landlord which does not respond I had to pay for a hotel to protect my children and the landlord will not give money back after police report was made and our safety was put in jeopardy Even not staying our full stay having to pay for another hotel

There was no power, the coffee machine barley worked, and no heat...cold showers too. An unfortunate stay.

We are sorry for your experience but unfortunately most of Salem lost power due to a storm at that night and ensuing related heat and hot water outages were not within our control. We hope that the rest of your trip wasn't affected by the storm.

Great spot for a large group or a couple

The neighborhood isn't the greatest, but the apartment was spotless and exactly as advertised. It easily sleeps 6, so my wife and I had plenty of room. Our host was reachable and easy to work with, and provided a ton of info about the area. We parked in the garage he recommended, and the walk to the apartment was easy. Keep in mind, parking is awful throughout Salem, so the garage was a great option. We would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend to others.
