Good hotel for a couple of days, but out dated though.
- opted for breakfast option which was worth the money.
- Saff very friendly.
- Location perfect.
- Parking available and free on site.
Midweek break 3 nights. Although the parking was free, it was very tight and double parked and every morning had to wait about 15 minutes to get the car in front moved. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very limited and at a set time 8.30 no flexibility and had to be ordered in advance. Bar prices were very reasonable. The room though was extremely tired, The windows didn't work and could not be opened properly, decor was poor, badly in need of a repaint and would also suspect structural problems looking at the way the window was twisted. Ensuite was clean and fully functional. Generally the hotel was Okay, but rooms need major refurbishment.
Desk service was great, staff are lovely.
Room was okay, bathroom and shower were nice. Room went from being really warm to cold and back quite quickly. Furnishing was okay but room felt quite cheapish with the floor being really creaky. Worth the price still.
Nice hotel and staff. Building needs renovating - during our stay it was very windy and the roof was nearly blown off. Couldnât sleep overnight because of the rumbling noise of the dilapidated roof.
Our car was blocked in (by an unidentified other resident) for nearly two hours in the morning meaning we missed the recreational activity we had planned. The front desk should have registered all guests' cars on arrival as double parking is always likely there.
Nice hotel with character in a very convenient location. Beautifully decorated for Christmas in the public areas. Some minor issues regarding breakfast which were discussed with staff and should be easily rectified. Would be happy to stay here again.
Hotel is part of holiday group and had several coaches outside hotel. Checking in was fine. Was disappointed with the room and we smelt stale urine. Had to keep window open all night so was disturbed with traffic noise from about 6am. Breakfast wasnât good and the service was bad. Had to ask for a drink 3 times before getting it. Couldnât face it again for second day. Hotel insisted on us leaving key when we went out, but on return, reception was unmanned for quite some time. Phoned a couple of times, no one came to reception to answer calls so had to go round to find staff. We were not the only ones waiting.
The staff were all very friendly, happy, polite, could not do enough for you.
We booked for 1 night and wanted to stay a 2nd night but the hotel was fully booked so we had to leave.
Staff friendly, room was exceptionally hot. Even with the fan on, the bath has broken taps in the sink, and once you turn in hot taps in bath, very hard to turn off.
Great visit.Arrived early ,room was ready so able to access immediately.Staff very helpful and obliging. We only booked bed and breakfast but were able to add on evening meal at reasonable cost.Good choice, 3 courses and coffee.Room was cvery clean and looked to have been recently refurbished. Our request for a high floor quiet room was granted!
