Perfect house, but went south after water stopped working
The property was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. Check in wasn't until 5 & the cleaning crew was still there and stated the dryer was taking forever & sheets were still wet. They asked if we wanted them to stay, & we said we'd take care of it. After 2 additional hours, the sheets were finally dry & we made the beds.
On the 2nd night the water stopped working. We contacted management & they said they'd send someone in the morning. We got a call at 4:30 PM saying they didn't think it could be repaired & they'd need to move us to a different house. We'd been skiing all day & the drive down the mountain from the house was treacherous, so we didn't feel comfortable doing that in the dark. They were sending one final repair man the next morning in hopes he could fix it, so we decided to stick it out one more night, hoping it could be fixed. He arrived at 10:30 & after about an hour, he told us it was a lost cause so we started packing. The new house was about 30 minutes away & was down in the valley. It took all day to pack, load, drive, unload & unpack, so we lost the entire day we planned to spend at Big Sky. The house also didn't have any of the amenities that sold us on Lazy Bear Estate - the location, wrap around porch, hot tub & 2 fire places. While we were grateful they had another place for us, it wasn't the place we wanted. We asked for a partial refund, & they decided to give us $550, 12% of what we paid. Hardly compensation for so much inconvenience :(
