Mixed feelings...

When we found the house on the vrbo site, it appeared to be just what we wanted: the reviews from people who had previously stayed at the house were mostly positive, with just one expressing disappointment. I wish I had taken that one more seriously, as our stay in the house was also far from what we had expected. The house is certainly in a perfect seaside setting; however, there was so much wrong with the actual accommodation, including a bedroom with a damp-ridden wall and an ever-present musty smell - the damp was also on the living room wall; toilets that smelled of urine when we arrived; a fridge with rust and excess condensation and little storage; towels and sheets that we had paid extra for that were poor quality; pillows that were so old and flat that we had to buy new ones from the supermarket; and a spiral staircase leading to children's bedrooms that was rickety. There were other disappointments, but the owner was difficult to approach with any concerns - she chose to chastise me for example for putting washed plastic containers in the recycling bin, and was very keen to tell us that we have to pay for any electricity we used. We are sad that our memories of this holiday will be so mixed - lovely location, but poor accommodation.

Maison fonctionnelle malgré quelques détails regrettables

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par la propriétaire. La maison est relativement proche de la plage, même s'il faut traverser 6 ou 7 rues, ce qui est stressant avec des petits enfants. La maison est conforme à la description et globalement confortable. Attention si vous êtes grand comme moi, les lits sont en 190 ! L'escalier intérieur, un peu instable, n'est pas très rassurant avec des petits, même s'il n'est pas dangereux. Le jardin clos est pratique pour des enfants mais il est malheureusement le long de la route principale sans haie pour isoler de la rue, et donc pas très agréable.

La mer à moins d’un quart d’heure à pieds.

Répartition des chambres idéale, nombre de toilettes et salles de bain suffisant. Un escalier en colimaçon très étroit qui peut s’avérer dangereux. Une grande cour clôturée est un plus quand on a des enfants.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, la la villa est bien située et très fonctionnelle. Les volets aux fenêtres ou rideaux occultants manquent pour assombrir les chambres sinon tout est bien. La propriétaire est très sympathique.

nous avons passé une belle semaine à 10 min de la mer, commerce à proximité, nous avons juste rencontré un problème avec le chauffe eau qui a inondé le gite, nous avons passé un bon moment tous ensemble à évacuer l'eau mais heureusement il y a 2 chauffe eau et 2 salle de bains

Schönes Haus, auch ausgelegt für größere Gruppen/Familien. Alles da, was man für 10-14 Personen braucht. Kurzer Weg zum familienfreundlichen Strand, schöne Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung (Mont St. Michele, Parc Festyland.....) Leider sprechen die Vermieter nur Französisch.....aber auch das ist kein Problem :-)

Agréable villa spacieuse

Nous sommes venus à 2 familles (4 adultes et 3 enfants) dans cette villa et nous y avons chacun trouvé notre place grâce aux 5 chambres, 2 SDB, 2 WC séparés et la pièce de vie ouverte sur la terrasse (salon-sàm-cuisine). La cuisine est fonctionnelle (2 frigos !), chaise bébé et lit bébé à disposition, accès direct vers l'extérieur avec possibilité de manger dehors, un vrai plaisir ! Seul petit bémol : les rideaux des 5 chambres ne sont pas occultant... quand on aime la pénombre c'est embêtant, mais on a trouvé un système D : couvertures et draps de plage accrochés à la barre des rideaux... Pour le reste, boulangerie et petits commerces accessibles à pieds, au bout de la rue, ainsi que la plage et la promenade. Parfait pour les enfants, pas besoin de prendre la voiture ;) Propriétaires sympathiques !
