Rent Breton Cove Farmhouse - We are located on the Cabot Trail
Between Breton and Wreck Cove they say thereâs buried treasure. Use your Breton Cove hideaway as a jumping off point for your own great treasure hunt and vacation.
The Farmhouse is family and pet friendly and can accommodate up to 10 people. It comes with 5 bedrooms, a spacious living room with extended Douglas fir beams and cozy wood stove, a full kitchen and dining room (electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishware and utensils) and two full baths. There is also a deck off one of the downstairs bedrooms with an outdoor fire pit near by. Trails leading from the farmhouse through a meadow and old growth forest to a look-off over the ocean. Overall the farmhouse is a great jump-off point to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and the Cabot Trail.
While you are a short drive from its sister property Cabot Shores, visit us to rent a kayak, canoe or stand up paddle board, to go swimming and explore more trails. Have an evening of entertainment and great food at our GoBistro, a drink at the bar, or just soak in the scenery. You are always welcome.
The house was perfect for us. Way out in the middle of nowhere, quiet and secluded. The house was clean and and lots of room for the kids to run around.
There is a wonderful trail that leads out to a cliff Lookout.
The house is owned by a nearby (12 km away) wilderness resort. The hot tub and wifi mentioned in the ad are located there, not at this house.
Watch out with leaving food around outside, we did spot a coyote near the house while we were outside having a bonfire.
Overall we had a good time and it was located in a perfect spot along the Cabot trail.
The farmhouse is conveniently located on the southern end of the western Cabot Trail and is a good base of operations from which a larger group can explore the east side of the park and surrounding areas. The farmhouse has plenty of room and all the basic needs for housekeeping as well as access to the facilities at Cabot Shores, a few km south on the Trail. The site is very private and has plenty of parking but note that two of the amenities (WiFi and hot tub) are only located at the resort, not at the farmhouse directly. We enjoyed our stay and meeting Paul at the resort.
